Considering Criterion holds Region 1 rights it make sense they only sell to US/Canada. I don't see MOC or BFI selling their product in North America (unless you count absurd import prices on Amazon).

Masters of Cinema ship direct to the US....they seem to have a fair few customers from this forum!

Never thought of the region coding...in fairness though, if you're collecting Criterion, you're probably not a numpty

Episode 1: 01.44.31s
Episode 2: 01.52.21s
Episode 3: 02.04.07s"

I've got the UK edition and have seen both the full 3 part version and the theatrical version. You can take it from me, you don't need to worry about the theatrical version.
Perfect, thanks man!!

Do you have the MOC link? I couldn't find ordering information (Or I didn't look well enough).

If you're subscribed to their newsletter they'll send out a link once a month where you can buy direct. This month's is:

But I could remember nothing about the movie except that I turned it off 10 years ago.

Then I found the whole movie on youtube tonight and had a totally different reaction after watching about 20 mins of it. For me, it is a pretty clear example of how my views of film have changed over the years. While I still like the same movies I dd back then, I am now more open to new different types of films. I guess I have "matured"
Glad to hear that you came around to this film. 3 Women is a haunting masterpiece and one of my all-time favorites. Shelley Duvall should have been nominated for an Oscar for her fascinating performance. I was so happy when Criterion announced it for Blu and it was a must-buy for me, even though I already own the DVD.

Anyone willing to add 3 Women and My Life as a Dog to their order and then forward on to me?
Criterion won't ship direct to me.

picked up "Orpheus", "Charade" and "Blow Out"...
I really wasn't planning on buying anything, but I figure getting a few to make the November B&N sale load a little easier won't hurt.

All righty, here's my present damage:

Secret Sunshine
My Life As A Dog
Smiles of a Summer Night
Repulsion
Everlasting Moments
A Christmas Tale

Me:
Wallet:

I was too late to get: If..., Cul-De-Sac & The Killing

Here's to the upcoming B&N sale!

I forgot to ask: Anyone have any thoughts regarding these films?

They're all blind-buys for me, as usual for most of my Criterion purchases, though not completely "blind" since I research a bit on the stories to see if they interest me.

I did the unthinkable, and CANCELED many of my pre-orders in anticipation of Criterion's Sale (and trying to get another GC!)

So I managed to order:

Cul-De-Sac
If...
Orpheus
Jean Vigo
Secret Sunshine

All for just under $100

not too shabby at all..... now I can pick and choose which ones I need "Now" and which ones I can wait for a potential B&N sale

Nice! I tried to get Jean Vigo, and a couple of those others, but those went OOS pretty quick. Nice selection!

How early did you place your order? (Just wondering how long I may need to wait for mine to ship)...I get antsy, haha.

I placed the order right after the sale started (when the server was VERY slow).

How does their site let you know your order has been shipped? Do they send an email? A few minutes after I placed my order yesterday, they sent one saying they are preparing shipment, that's all.

You should get a confirmation email of shipment with a tracking number

I see MGM is releasing Wilder's The Apartment next week.
really thought Criterion would have jumped on trying to get the rights to the Wilder boxset, as that would have been a perfect Criterion release.
MGM won't ever be releasing stuff like 1,2,3 or Avanti! so it's a real shame that it looks like Criterion didn't make a play for the MGM/UA Wilder films.
oh well.

sadly I've never seen 3 Colors.

I really liked Double Life of Veronique.

Would anyone say if so, then it's worth a blindbuy ?
