I've watched The Killing yesterday. As there's been much talk about the film recently, I just want to point out the Excerpted interviews with actor Sterling Hayden from the French television series Cinéma cinémas. What a cool guy he was!

Hmm, I didn't do too poorly this year, I have the Bolded titles, and the underlined ones are on my wishlist. September's been the only month that doesn't have something I'm interested in.

Edit: I still need to par down this list to crucial titles, and such, as there are 30 CC titles on my wishlsit.

Yeah, I'm 29/70...not too shabby considering I just started collecting this year. (all of my other purchases have been pre-2011 releases, or else I'd be closer to my actual goal). Good times! Broke, but happy!

You guys are really 30/49 or whatever..... you can only buy what they put out on shelves

Either way.... I watched If.... last night.... and didn't find the improvement over the DVD to be as great as some other titles. I wonder if this is a limitation of the source, or if this transfer just lacked a bit.

Great movie, and the improvement certainly is significant, so I'm not complaining!

I cracked open my copy and watched it this weekend. I didn't do a comparison, but was impressed with the PQ. I watched a few of the supplements...but am saving the short film and the commentary for next weekend.

A very good film and an important one as well.

Got 18 through August, most from one month was 4 in January (all but Robinson Crusoe on Mars), and least was zero from March

I got my two Criterion releases for the day from amazon and one of them the paper insert is jammed up to the top of the case and is torn. I know amazon will love yet another return for replacement order from me. (This is why I usually pay more at Barnes - always godo to choose your copy)

Yeah been reading that... kind of scary but the fact I think I drop about 100.00-200.00 a week with them they prob deal with me. Maybe.

However that is for the other thread... but it would be cool if for the anal retentive Criterion nuts like me Criterion had a monthly order of the copver inserts and bookelts shipped flat and you just paid a fee for them that way you have back ups haha
