If it's Made in USA, then you'll hear nothing of the sort from me.

You're a bit hypocritical, despite having an awesome BD collection, you still own quite a few terrible films. You own the live action Scooby Doo, and Burlesque, for example. I think those films are much more terrible than Gojira/Godzilla.

I'm not trying to be offensive, I'm just joking around, but still, not everyone thinks Gojira/Godzilla is bad.

I didn't say it was bad to own horrible movies. I own plenty of them. I was asking why people seem to care about Gojira so much. As for me personally, I see no redeeming value in it at all. It was a mere inquiry. Not an attack or anything on anyone's taste.

good. Alot of people will dislike it, being known as Godard's lesser known of the New Wave period. But I find it more humorous and more "Godard" (if that makes sense) than most of his films from that time.

Don't know if its correct or not, but somebody posted some titles they said are the releases on facebook and it looks like their post was deleted. One of them was Frenzy. They also deleted a post with the cover art that was posted here.

Not to mention, Godzilla spawned a 50-year movie franchise. Terrible or not, it has merit for securing a place in film history.

Agreed. And even if it is 'bad' that doesn't necessarily disqualify it.

I don't think Videodrome, House or Blow Out are particularly good movies but I don't have any quarrel with any of them being part of the collection either. In fact, I own them all and don't regret purchasing any of them.

I'm pretty sure I won't regret my inevitable Godzilla purchase either.

I grew up on Godzilla movies. I liked Godzilla vs Gigan. Then being a teen happened, and it was Boobs vs Boobs.

I agree about Videodrome, but House and Blow Out are fantastic.

For me the interest is primarily - though not solely - nostalgiac. Would I have prefered somebody else do a quality restoration? Sure. But nobody else seemed interested so I'm just glad *somebody* decided to step up and if pushes other, more 'important' releases back a few weeks then so be it.

And that's not to say I think it's an unimportant film. I think its (pun fully intended) impact was endeniable.

Now hopefully they will do the other 27 movies in the franchise. Just stagger them with Chaplin, one every other month.

Frenzy would be amazing if true, I think it's Hitchcock's most underrated or one of his most underrated and the best of his later work.
