There is a clue from Dec 2010, that as far as I know still hasn't been resolved, which was thought to be Twin Peaks/Fire Walk With Me. It's on the first page of this thread.

I think that those pictures may not have been clues at all, as none of them have come to fruition.

As for Inland Empire, the DVD I own is the "More..." version, which has crappy AQ and PQ, but is loaded with deleted/alternate scenes, including David Lynch's endearingly daffy 'cooking show' for quinoa. Thanks for the tip though...I guess I should take any further questions about the features on the German set to another board.
The HD-DVD of Mulholland Drive has frame playback issues, the wrong audio pitch and lesser PQ than the Studio Canal bluray, which can be found throughout the Euro Amazons. I can tell you is a pretty solid package with some decent extras though no commentary - but it's one of my favorite blus overall. I'd highly recommend it over the HD-DVD version.

As for the blu of Inland Empire - that could be had pretty cheaply from Amazon.UK - is also chock full of extras of its own NOT on the DVD; and while the PQ improvement is marginal (due to the source/how it was shot), it certainly looks better and there is a definite AQ upgrade. I have them both and made my own 'combo set' with the blu-ray and disk 2 of the DVD set.

I agree 100% about Mulholland. I had the HD-DVD and frankly it was terrible. I have the SC release, as remember it's region-B locked, and it is very good.

That's true, the SC release of Mulholland Drive and the UK release of Inland Empire are region-B locked. If you're not region-free than my post above is not really of much help. I forget to take that into account because I've been region-free for a few months.

However the German boxset of those two plus Lost Highway is region-free, though I don't believe they have all of the extras entailed in the other releases. Still recommended though.

Overall, it tells a very interesting story and admittedly, the music was fantastic. The Wire tracks really brought me back, especially with the choice of "Ahead" in the film. Overall, I definitely recommend it, but it's not a purchase for me, as rarely do I revisit 3 day films. Anyone with Netflix, take advantage of the streaming, as they always seem to drop titles after a while.
Very much agree. I finished part 3 this past weekend, too. I like how each part concerns something- Part 1 (the set-up), Part 2 (Opec and various terrorist acts), Part 3 (Carlos' network at its height and disintegration).

I think it's funny when Carlos is asked about Nada:

Carlos: Nada? She es a crazy &*^#$ She can't keep her cool.

Yeah, that had me laughing too, as they were all a little crazy. It's interesting how quickly he became "The man without a country"...

Estimated total for all 9 replacement cases (no movies), plus 5 empty cases (I must emphasize again that there is !!!NO MOVIES!!!) = $112.50

It's at this point in time that I would like to ask a fellow forum member within the magical land of 48states if they could lend a shipping address?

I got the same email. It finally got me to place my order for all 9 replacements and 2 blanks to bring it to the $50 level to get free shipping.

It will most likely fall, seeing it should be a $35 price point on Criterion's site.

None of the coupons will work on pre orders.... I kind of hate B&N policy when it comes to that

Killing myself for not using my mystery 30% off coupon on the THREE COLORS TRILOGY. Wasn't thinking and grabbed Island Of Lost Souls instead. Oh well, I wouldn't want to risk the packaging of the Three Colors getting damaged in B&N's shipping.
