I never had an issue with my copy. It sounded rather glorious. It's more than likely a problem on your end.

Hoping to go later today to pick up F&A blu. Considered waiting for the 25% off coupon but I can't.

Never mind the VHS tapes, does he have the CD-ROM they put out as a guide to the collection?!?

(he probably has the CD-ROM...)

isn't the full film on disc one? (I thought disc two was just extras/suppliments)

Disc 1 is part 1 and 2. Disc 2 is part 3 and supplements.

you would think that they would put the whole Carlos film on one disc, since they just did put the Fanny and Alexander's TV cut which is around the same legnth as Carlos.

You're scaring me dude!

I bought the Nikkatsu Noir a week ago and I should be getting delivery of the Larisa Shepitko Eclipse set sometime today...maybe the planets are aligned.

They might have run out of stock? This sale just by what is going on in this forum must be killing their stock badly and I am sure we are not the only ones jumping on this.

Eeek! My friend just ordered his yesterday! It's bad enough that Canadian orders usually take 2 days before they ship out, and then almost a month to arrive, but this could be really bad for him!

I hope I haven't screwed up everyone's BD totals by editing the CC titles that include a second film. I've never understood why The Killing / Killer's Kiss is listed as two, but not Blowout / Murder a la Mod, Seventh Seal / Bergman Island (Bergman Island has its own spine), nor Night of the Hunter / Charles Laughton Directs Night of the Hunter (it's a 2 hour doc, which more than plenty to count as a unique "film"). I also see soneone has put Monterey Pop as 3 films now, rather than two, because the second BD in the set, the Jimi and Otis one, technically has two films on it.

Me too, seems they are claiming the release date changed as the excuse. Strange.

I haven't been following releases for a while, but did Criterion change the packaging for their Blu-rays again? I was at Future Shop today and noticed some new releases with what looks to be a digipack packaging or some type of slipcover. I sure hope my collection can still look consistent in the future.

I don't recall exactly, didn't really read the titles; I was quickly skimming through the Blu-ray isle for other things I was looking for.
I think Dazed and Confused was one of them along with a couple of others. I just went to the Criterion site to check the new releases and I think one of the cover was Dazed and Confused.

Yep, it's a digipack due to the size of booklet, and because it comes with a poster. Ditto for Salo, minus the poster of course.

Others come in digipacks because they are 2-disc sets.

There were a few initial releases that came in digipacks, but have since switched to the plastic cases.

the initial bd releases had an open-ended slipsleeve over a fold-out cardboard piece that contained the disc tray.
they have never used that type of packaging again.
what they do now is sometimes replicate the previous dvd release if the release utilized a slipbox type of packaging.
also--some new releases have used the slipbox packaging.
a little confusing, but that's the scoop.

Good old B&N customer service. For the record, they have already shipped mine.

Yeah, I don't think you'd need to defend yourself. You do excellent work for this site and we appreciate it.

CF is definitely a great site and a terrific resource. It's unfortunate there are a few snobs on the site that tend to give the site a bad name. They're not hard to spot and I needn't mention names...
