I doubt that they will release any of these as I dont think they currently own the rights to any of these films, but I'm hopeful

They don't--Warner owns all the 30's/40's Cagney (he BUILT the "gangster" image of the studio, and they're darn proud of it), and the only Hitchcock Criterion's done are those pre-Rebecca UK talkie ones that have sunk into Public Domain.
Criterion rescues Public Domain films as a charity service, but movies with owners is another kettle of fish.

(Don't know if there is any public-domain Cagney, but if there was, we'd have gotten it by now.)

Actually, we're modernizing at an impressive rate ccfixx. Most of our dogsleds now come equipped with 8-track players...standard. And I hear we'll be upgrading to Hollerith ATM cards by year's end. Heck, just last week, I purchased my first steam powered turtleneck sweater.

There are a few public domain Cagney titles from 36-37 when he broke away from Warner Bros:

Great Guy (1936)

I think The Time of Your Life (1948) is in the public domain too.

None of these are prime Cagney - but I don't think its very likely WB will give us any of the Gangster titles anytime soon. I hope I'm wrong.
