I have not followed all of those edited posts, but I did see the chatter already starting for this potential 40% off coupon.The coupon clearly states it cannot be combined with other offers, but I am sure people will start on how to manipulate that one also. Thankfully this sale ends next week and we can put an end to this. Ironically, Rushmore comes out the next day, which I know many of the posters in the sale forum wanted and complained about it not being included. I wonder if they will wait 6+months to purchase a film they want, or break down and pay the $20whatever Amazon wants....

As for the coupon BS, I understand your point, but I also know that you will not sit and wait for the next 'super-sale' to buy another release, as you enjoy the films for what they are. The people in the sale forum, from what I am reading, do not seem like fans or lovers of the films, but rather people that want to get a 'deal'. Seems, as according to their collection link, that they have no problem paying $15 or so for 'Green Lantern', but not a Criterion release.This has frankly led me to believe that they will buy at the low price and sell for profit, which is fine, but apparently the abuse has led to B&N to discontinue coupon use in-store for many customers. I think that sort of wraps it up....

not sure why u want to assume or place everyone in one or the other pile. but i own about 50 or so criterions. i also have a few DVD and a few laserdiscs from way back in the day. i like the sales and i like the coupons with the sales. i also plan on owning them all one day. but that takes time lets be realistic. i have never sold a criterion and never plan on it. however, if i did Salo would be the one. not sure i want to subject myself to that one ever again. ive been in this thread a long time, because i like to read about the movies and also like to read what others say about the movies. some of what i buy is based on others suggestions.

and i dont own green lantern nor will i ever.

its a bit combative to have to read this same stuff over and over and it simply doesnt apply to me and the few i know on here.

further, the coupons have not been discontinued.

i love the movies plain and simple.

id be willing to share my ebay account with anyone on here. i will never and have never sold a criterion, period.

ive always known BN coupons to be stackable. clearly pointed out by BN customer reps.


has that changed? i dont know, yet.

talk about BN and its coupons should be talked about in the other thread?

I understand what you are saying, but you are a lover of the film. Frankly, the funny thing about this whole thing is basically $10 or so. I do not think it is a money issue as more of a 'satisfaction' issue, but that is my opinion.

That's basically the entire point of that board, and every thread in it. Finding the best price on the movies you want (or an idea for a film that might pop into your head if you saw it for unexpectadly cheap). I frequent that board and cheapassgamer to find the lowest possible prices. I don't think it has much to do with reselling. I severely doubt there is much profitability in reselling anything in this space, save for the people that claim to pay around $10 or $11. Even there I would think it's hardly worth anyone's while to really make a habit of it, that is unless said person was a real deadbeat loser

I believe that you are a true lover of the films, but defending others actions I do not agree with.
