Default "Missing" by C.Gavras is missing from the database?

Speaking of "Missing" ... anyone know why this release by Criterion cannot be found here?

Thanks,
Paul

Both 16.99 titles are back up on the site at 27.99 now, if anyone still wants to pre-order them, because, as I can't really speak for World on a Wire, Anatomy of a Murder is an awesome film.

That would make sense Pro-B...that and the fact that the Colors set also has separate packaging for each of the three films, whereas, the Fanny and Alexander set is one package with three disc holders.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm not worried about it. I haven't seen many Kurosawa films, to be honest, so my statement was both tongue in cheek and invalid

Great movie. It reminds me a lot of The Asphalt Jungle - the individual elements are all pretty commonplace but there's just something about the way they all fit together that elevates the whole thing.

Amazon has been striking out and if I knew they'd become so anal about miniscule little things, I would have seriously reconsidered reenlisting with Prime. Their price matches have been non-existing and it's ridiculous when everyone speculates that it's to make up with tax when I live in a state that's penalized by sales tax online so I'm paying more than I should through them.

If they decide to cancel the order, I'll probably ***** about it but nothing will happen. Big price difference or not, they should honor the mistake to those who caught it as goodwill to their customers who stick with them.

(I ordered Anatomy of a Murder and World on a Wire)

I'm reconsidering my Rushmore preorder. One of my all-time favorite comedies but $30 after tax is steep, especially the week of Black Friday. I might just wait a bit for the price to go down, a shopping binge once I get my tax refund, or most likely just ask for it as a Christmas gift.

I direct you to this sir, if you think 30 bucks after tax is bad. Add another 13% - 15% to this price, and you get what an average Canadian gets screwed out of if they don't order from Amazon or B&N, or miss the first couple days Amazon.ca has the pre-orders priced the same as the US site:

Yep! In Canada you have two choices. Buy it in store within the first three or four days of release cause after that it goes up by $5-$10 or get it from Amazon

Canada's prices on Criterion (and almost everything else, save the really big releases which are generally on par with the US) really blow. Just horrible, awful stuff. It's why I try to buy used.

It's why I usually buy American. I lucked out and managed to lock a Gojira pre-order for 28.50, which is about 5 bucks cheaper than the US once you apply the shipping and import fees to the US pre-order.

I just ordered Three Colors, but I ordered it with some other movies. What happens if they don't have anymore in stock? Do they cancel my whole order or will they still send the others?

I'm wondering if I should have made two seperate orders for Three Colors and then the rest.

They honored the Grindhouse pricing error. They have updated their site with the new 27.99 prices and my order still says 16.99 and links directly to the ones labeled 27.99. They'll more than likely honor the price.

Oh no problem! I was like, holy crap, a cheap Criterion, in Canada? I'm still going to keep an eye out on Amazon.ca in case my order's cancelled for Anatomy of a Murder.

Well, in Canada, everything is American or Chinese.

I managed to pre-order 12 Angry Men on .ca for about $27 - it's at $44 now. I thought that was a great deal. Keeping my eyes out for Three Outlaw Samurai and Anatomy of a Murder. If I could afford every Criterion release, I'd totally get them, but I have to set some limits.

Still kicking myself for missing the good prices on Gojira and Traffic from January (I feel like there was a third film I wanted that month but don't remember what it was).

A few minutes ago, I preordered, on a tentative basis, all six of the Criterion February slate:

Anatomy of a Murder
La Jetee / Sans Soleil (an upgrade from my current Criterion DVD)
Three Outlaw Samurai
Tiny Furniture
Vanya on 42nd Street (an upgrade from my existing DVD)
World on a Wire

(Samurai and Furniture are more tentative than the others.)

It's really like ordering seven features, since Tiny Furniture contains, as an extra, a separate feature-length film from the same director, Creative Nonfiction. Looking forward to seeing them.
