It's their own time to waste if they want to talk about it

Now saying that, thank you since I just wasted 4 minutes reading it

No problem. I couldn't believe what I was reading, and figured that this would provide a bit of entertainment, rather than discussing packaing, price points, etc.

Are you going to bother to get Harakiri after all?

Thinking about it, I am searching the collection to what else I can order to make the shipping worth it. Maybe a Eclipse set, one I wasn't to sure about but now might make it worth it?

Yeah, or go with Diabolique, to pair off with The Wages of Fear. I prefer WoF, but Diabolique is a fine film. I know you're a huge Chaplin fan, so there's also the option of Au revoir les enfants for The Immigrant, which is a bonus feature on that one.

So what is this posting trend of stupidity exactly? Not everyone defines stupidity in the same manner.

Oh, well that's all determined by me, of course. It depends on many factors including, but not limited to,...
  • Did I have my Wheaties today?
  • Did I drink all of my V8 juice?
  • Did I wipe well the last time I was in the bathroom?
  • What's the weather like outside?
  • How much longer is it until I get out of work?
  • Did I get enough sleep last night?
  • Is this person from Canada?

That's just a small number of questions I ask myself daily before responding to forum users.

What's the most rewatchable Max Ophuls film? I hear that The Earrings of Madam de is his best film, so I'm thinking of picking up the Criterion DVD. I know that Lola Montes is the only one released on blu-ray, but I hear it's not that rewatchable.

Thanks for the suggestion but I am not a big fan of Diabolique and Simone Signoret as always annoyed me

So I place to order for Harakiri along with Eclipse Silent Naruse which I always sort of push back as I was always finding something else I wanted more but now it's now and I have them, plus I doubt any of them will ever make it to Blu-ray so it's not a bad choice for me.

Personally, I think La Ronde, Le Plaisir, and The Earrings of Madame de... (all on Criterion DVD) have more substance and replay vaule than Lola Montès.

I'm hoping that Criterion is able to get around to Letter from an Unknown Woman, Caught, and The Reckless Moment someday, as well. Until then, though, you can pick them up on DVD from the UK.

Did Canadians rape and slaughter your entire family or something, while you hid out in the family graveyard with the dog, and then were raised in captivity by them until your Uncle Ethan came to rescue you many years later?

Excellent. That was a close order, since the sale ends today. I've been wanting to check out some of the Eclipse sets, such as the Sabu! one, but I want to catch up on the BD releases first.

Absolutely loved it. It was a great story, although tragic, that captures the plight of many immigrants so well.

I put it on long ago not really expecting to be wowed as I was. However, that is the case with a good number of CC titles I watch, no matter how much or little praise it receives from reviews or fans.

El Norte is great. My wife cried at the end.

On a happier note, about the harbingers of death I watched my BD copy of "The Phantom Carriage" and that is truly a finely restored classic.

What score did everyone view it with? I elected to go with the Swedish-composed piece.
