Sadly, I'm buying In The Realm's replacement case because there is a slice in my current one. The cut is at the top, on the back of the case. It looks like a box cutter blade cut it. Are banged up cases, especially CC's being a higher cost to replace, something you would send back to Amazon for a new one? I'll probably just pay the $2.50 and add it with my order.

Instead of doing that, I would just contact Jon Mulvaney at Criterion first and explain to him that the case you received is damaged and it's possible that he'll send out a new one to you for free. He was going to send me a free case for "Gomorrah" after mine arrived damaged from Amazon, but I was able to sort it out with Amazon without any extra charges so there was no need. Give it a shot. Criterion have great customer service for these kinds of things.

Is there anyway you can put up the information for the replacement cases (or, copy and paste the latest e-mail from Jon Mulvaney that's just up a couple of posts) on your first posting on page #1. That way, if anyone has anymore questions regarding the cases, people can just be directed back to the first post? Oh, and make it all bold, BIG, and highlighted, please.

Dunno why, but cannot seem to get these titles from amazon without them arriving either with a cut to their spine or looking like they got bent (the thick plastic cased ones). Of course 2-day shipping in bubble bags may have something to do with the latter, but I've given up on Criterions from amazon. Even when I order several blu's together, and they get shipped in a box, seems like the Criterions are the ones that arrive with some sort of damage.

And yes I am fussy. Wish I wasn't.

You might wanna note that the $5 each for the first two cases & $2.50 for each additional case after two is U.S. only. For international, it's $15 each for the first two cases & then $2.50 for each additional after two. Thanks.

I just got an update from Jon that they're still waiting on the Bottle Rocket cases. So while people who got in early on the other 7 may have had their orders shipped out already before Criterion ran out of stock, people who included Bottle Rocket in their order are still waiting.

Wow, that ****ing sucks. I ordered The Third Man on November 11th and now I'm being told that the ebay user has been banned and I will get a refund. Thing is, I paid it $28 and now I'll have to pay $60. Why is that happening to me ?

Thank you ccfixx. You got me off my duff and just ordered the 9 cases. I only own 4 so far, but I already know I'll be completing this list.

In the order I mentioned the issue, and then forwarded my Paypal receipt to Jon's email along w/ a bit more of an explanation. I'm not even worried, I know they will take care of things!!

OMG, each movie of theirs that I get exposed to is so different from the normal movies out. I thank everyone for talking about it enough that the sticky was there in the forum to catch my eye.

You should be aware, that future orders 'may' be fulfilled with the new cases...... so you may end up with "extras"

If you do, I'm sure you can trade/sell them, and I guess it doesn't hurt to order them now since they offer a discount for multiples

Ya if that happens I'll keep as extras and eventually can sell them if need be. Maybe I'll work with the custom cover art folks and get Benjamin Button recased on my own doing.
