It might be worth petitioning Masters of Cinema, they do have some sort of deal with Universal.

I hear you. I picked up 20 Eclipse sets during the last sale after getting over my Blu-ray-elitism, but I seriously regret not grabbing The Human Condition and Berlin Alexanderplatz

I'm pretty sure all of the other links work. The home page is the only one affected by the year-end-poll, I believe.
Thanks...it's working now!

done and done

[this is pathetic:I'm already wracked with buyer's remorse ten minutes after placing the order because I might be able get a March release five bucks cheaper if I wait until July...wtf]

I would go for Thin Red Line as I got it for $21. I would wait on Yojimbo/Sanjuro until a sale as I got that for $27 from B&N.

Has anyone ever sold a Criterion movie and later regretted it? I've done this several times. I'll watch a film and think it's all right, but there will be something about it that will make me think about picking it up again later. I did this with Days of Heaven and I'm thinking about picking up Kuroneko again.

Robocop

Never sell any of the Criterion Blus cause esp if they go out of print you will regret it. (Same for most DVDs)

I've never had any regrets myself. I won't sell a film if I find it interesting or even just kind of like it on the first viewing. I'll only sell a film I absolutely cannot stand. Everyone has a film that fits in that category.

No.

But there are some DVD's I sold that need to hurry up and get blu-ray releases.

I haven't sold any Criterion edition blu-rays yet. I've really only been "dissatisfied" with a couple of the films that were new to me, and I guess I'll give them another chance before doing anything.

*cue the guy that will ostracize you for suggesting there is such a thing as a "Criterion movie".

i decided to bite on the 27.29 used copy fulfilled by amazon of Fanny and Alexander in acceptable condition , with a bend or a crease on the case. I figure that is the cheapest i could find it other then the barnes and noble sale since i am not a member of B&N. Hopefully it comes in good condition

That's funny...I just watched the Criterion version last night full of skepticism, but once I finished it and perused all the special features, I kinda appreciated the movie more (it is flawed) and all the hard work that went into making it.

I've only sold one, and have no regrets...just a pocket full of cash, which I bought 2 new Criterion BDs....'This is Spinal Tap' Criterion DVD.

I sold it recently and I'll pick up the BD real soon. But I'll never sell one because of the OOP factor that it might not be rereleased again in the same way
