Getting my Belle de Jour BD and Samurai Rebellion in tomorrow. Blind-bought both. I'm very excited to watch 'em.

Heh heh, that is hilarious. I never heard of Beverly Cleary, but your post getting censored made me google her name and Ramona....and I found the rest of the last name. Googled that, and all I can say is blu-ray.com has some efficient censoring software to pick up on that British slang term for - *ahem* - you know what. Makes me want to play around with dirty slang words in multiple languages and see if I can get a post that is all *********.

I purchased this during the summer B&N sale and watched it twice right afterwards. (have not revisited it since though) Zazie is a delight, I particularly enjoyed the Eiffel Tower sequence. Great photography of the City of Lights also.

I'm looking to buy a few of the Buster Keaton BD's released by KINO. Which titles do you recommend? Getting The General for sure.

Sherlock, Jr. is my favorite Keaton. So many incredible stunts. And lots of laughts, too.

Yeah "The General" is a must. You can't go wrong with Sherlock Jr. (as mentioned above, it has great stunts and a very creative scene where Buster goes in and out of a movie). I would also highly recommend "Steamboat Bill, Jr." and "Our Hospitality."

Steamboat Bill, Jr is my favorite, and I hear the shorts collection is great. I have it, but haven't had a chance to dig into it very much so far.

Every time I watch the scene where Buster's movie keeps changing around him, I am amazed that Buster had, basically, created "Duck Amuck" thirty years before Chuck Jones did:

("And on this farm, he had an.....igloo....")

So why the LD releases of SE7EN and The Game?

I'm thinking I want to get two of his films and then the shorts collection. That way I get a good mix of everything.

I'd say get The General and the Sherlock Jr./Three Ages release, plus the Shorts collection.

I have yet to pick up any of them, sadly, but they're all on my list.

I havevn't even taken the plastic off the shorts yet so I can't really comment there but +howevermanywereupto for both The General and Sherlock Jr.

In addition to being just plain good they're also the kinds of thing you can very confidently pull out if you should ever talk family or friends into giving a silent a try.

So how do the reviews of Ramona and Beezus get through? I guess I'm going to have to refer to her via the correct anatomical term now, because the same things happens when I talk about Josie and the *****cats, but somehow, Josie and the Vaginacats is ok? I think the censoring makes innocent things more obscene to be honest.

You should be falling all over yourself to see. It's a real treat.
