The "8" left are being sold directly by Amazon...those "48 new" and "4 used" are being sold by other merchants in the "Amazon MarketPlace"...

FYI, Canadian pre-orders for April are up on Amazon.ca for their initial 28.49 21.49 prices, order quickly before they jump to 40 some bucks!

Edit: I should add that I cancelled my Amazon.com order, because ironically enough, I save 10 bucks by ordering from Canada with the initial low prices because I don't have to pay for shipping.

For those who got in on the Amazon price error for World on a Wire and Anatomy of a Murder: are we expecting the price to be honored?

Yes, they would have cancelled it by now if they weren't going to honor it. I know because they cancelled my $11.99 Cul-De-sac preorder within a week of fixing the price.

$16.99 a piece. It's not actually a huge savings for me as I live in Canada. I'm saving like $13 bucks vs. Amazon.ca

No, the $16.99 was only in effect for a short time (a few hours, I think) after they went up for preorder however many weeks ago.

Well, that's what we're still wondering but yeah, probably.

I just meant that you didn't narrowly miss out on anything by ordering yesterday.

Thanks for the heads up BG. I noticed .ca has Close-up for $17.40 if anyone needs it. Great price for a great film.

Oh! My reading comprehension lacks because I'm lazy. It's a curse.

Only because I know that BG is a big fan of this film...I will give y'all a reminder. "The World of Harry Orient" will be on TCM tomorrow (Wednesay) night at 8:00 PM.

Yes! It's such a good film. The novel is also excellent! Angela Lansbury is absolutely horrid (her character, that is) in this film! I still think it would be a great addition to the Criterion collection as it's a bit of a cult classic, yet critically acclaimed (including Bosley Crowther!), went to Cannes in 1964, they need to have at least one Peter Sellers film, Nunnally Johnson re-wrote the script of his daughter Nora's initial draft (she also wrote the novel), and it's one of the earlier films George Roy Hill directed (the third actually).

What? I tend to look at in a more positiver light. Look at how much you save from this: http://www.amazon.ca/Anatomy-Murder-...6848363&sr=8-1

Does B&N always have a summer sale? I don't know if I can wait that long for another Criterion haul.

I came this close to canceling the Gorin set...but time and interest got the best of me...I'm really intrigued by the subjects of the three films...I think my wife will really enjoy the first film about the twins.

I preordered the Czech New Wave set as well...consider it a tax return treat.
