I am wondering where you ordered from?

I have notice that anything I get from B&N seem to always take close to 4 weeks if not more to get to me. I am in Canada not on the other side of the world If I order from Amazon.com or even Amazon.uk at most 10 days and it's here.

Amazon.com but I think I chose the cheapest shipping option, which is free. I think they always do USPS with that option. I can't remember. Anyways, UPS is much faster.

I ordered a large bundle of Criterions from B&N in November and they arrived within a week.

You're in New Hampshire though. I think when B&N ships to Canada, they do it via Tardis mail, since it seems to be lost in the votext of time for about a month.

Incidentally, have Criterion offered any indication that they plan to release Le Samourai on blu-ray? I'm toying with the idea of investing in the DVD, but I'd hate to get the damn thing in my hands and then hear the good news.

Any information would be appreciated.

As opposed to saving the thirty foot walk and relying on the tracking info.

An approach I am not at all mocking, btw.

Thirty feet here, ten steps there...it adds up.

I'm not that lazy. I at least did the eye-ball test from my front door.

They don't, so instead I have everything sent to work, which I hate doing, but at least someone is there to receive it.
It's always helpful to get to know your UPS guy. I always bring up the fact that I worked there for a number of years to break the ice. It makes it easier to get his or her cell phone number. I give him a call to let him know that I won't be home and to leave the package at my back door instead, or any other specific instruction. It's not good for them to come back with packages at night so they'll do pretty much anything to deliver one.

UPS will work with you. I've moved around a lot the last 5 years, many different drivers. I built a relationship with all of them. USPS on the other hand, not so much. I'll leave it at that.

It also helps if you provide that extra special holiday gratuity.

That is basically the entire film in under 2 minutes...there is literally barely anything else to the film other than that right there.

I have zero interest in seeing this movie, but I do enjoy how Criterion ended the video!

Tiny Furniture looks so absolutely terrible!

What makes something like this worthy of Criterion? It's like the Michael Bay deal all over again! Let's hope the money they are whoring for was for this film only but you know that the talentless whale is going to make more in the future! I mean, I know that Criterion is lacking in films by female directors but this is ridiculous!

I just joined this forum just to say how terrible this movie/director looks. Might post more. I like this thread a lot.
