Good afternoon,

Yes, it is identical - with the two films placed in regular clear cases.

So can we expect Fritz Langs masterpiece M to be released on Blu-Ray by Criterion?

Yes, it's been mentioned several times, and the new image posted on Criterion's site only solidifies the release even more.

DVDBeaver's review/comparison for "Che" is now up, as well.

I want to create cover art for Benjamin Button that fits in a clear case to replace the blue case.

If it helps, the artwork dimensions are:
274mm x 160mm (sheet size)

Front & Back
130mm wide x 160m tall

Spine
14mm wide x 160mm tall

Does anyone know if Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is going to be released for Blu-Ray in Criterion? It was for regular DVD awhile back. This film is great for watching when drunk. I don't want to buy it in Blu and have it come out for Criterion Blu later on.

Considering that Universal will be releasing it on blu-ray in February, I highly doubt we'll be seeing this title on blu-ray from Criterion anytime in the near future... if ever at all.

Everything about the above statement makes me question your love for film.

Thanks horseflesh, saves me some measuring.
This is what I have so far, this is not to scale and low-quality, and I need to find most of the fonts.
I'm going to order a case from Criterion, and put the extra CD in a sleeve and to the side where the booklet should go.

Why would you care if it was by Criterion or not if your drunk? And it being a drug movie, don't you mean getting high?

Digipak for DVD and Amaray for Bluray again.
I personally like the digipaks better, but oh well.

The digipacks would be fine if they did them the same style as DVD, just slightly shorter. A digipack with a solid frame, inserted into a side-opening outer shell, works just fine - I've never had a problem with any of the DVD digipacks Criterion has put out.

The BD ones had problems because the outer shell opened at the top and bottom instead of the side, allowing dust in and letting the contents fall out the bottom if you didn't hold it right. Also, the lack of that extra side (two openings instead of one) meant the outer shell lost its shape easier and resulted in all the crooked spines. Just switch to side-opening like the DVD ones and I think a lot of complaints would be fixed (besides the OCD people who need everything to look a certain way or whatever).

That looks like it could do the job

P.S. don't forget some nice classy artwork for the inside too

Just about done. It should look just like the original.
I'll post some pictures when I get this baby in a clear plastic case.

Nice job, reallyagi. So, when you say "just about done," does this mean there is still a bit of tweaking you need to do? And when you're absolutely, positively finished, will you be posting a hi-res image of the cover for us moochers?

Yes, looking good reallyagi.
If you're open to suggestions, I think it could do without the "Proof of Purchase" cut-out and barcode, I just think it would look cleaner.

(and I can't wait to see what you do for the inside artwork )

But how do you manage to insert it into the case sleeve without messing it up badly ? Is there a method that I don't know of ?
