Likely sometime in July (for ALL Criterion titles)...I'm told there should be a 50% off all DVDs at some point soon, which would cover all of the Eclipse sets and CC DVDs...

That would be a good excuse for me to get another Eclipse set. When they are all on sale, I tend to gravitate towards the blu-rays with what i'm willing to spend.

Don't get me wrong, I would prefer they did another 50% sale on EVERYTHING. But hey, if it's just DVD I would definitely take up that chance to get a few of the titles I keep neglecting.

Would be awesome if it came out on blu, but wouldn't hold my breath.

A Yoshida film popped in my mind while looking at this (not saying it is). I would flip out if they FINALLY get something from him in R1.

Videotron here use the Scientific Atlantic machine, they are pretty good. I got my first DVR in late 2003, my mom still use it now and it's still going. The one I have now is almost 4 years old, for HD recording and I use it a lot.

Had a busy morning and I could not check what was happening, I suppose still no announcement? I was hoping since they were a day late they might do it a bit earlier.

Being a huge Charles Laughton fan I loved it. Short, but hilarious in its subtly. I'd love to see Criterion release If I Had a Million where the short comes from.

If I remember correctly, BA is unlikely to get the Blu treatment because it was shot for television.

Could be wrong on that, though.

Bell aliant actually uses Motorola boxes, Hauppague is the card I bought for my desktop, and it's an el cheapo from Newegg. I've been constantly running it since May.

New hint posted on Criterion's Facebook page. Doesn't seem like anyone has recognized it definitively yet.

I hope an Amazon sale is around the corner. Put these blu-rays at $16 a pop or so, and I have plenty of Amazon gift cards I would love to use.

What's the difference between this, Carlos, and Fanny & Alexander? They were all miniseries. Or is it the fact that F&A and Carlos had a Theatrical Release?
