This sucks, now I'm going to have to get something in May. Not a huge Bergman fan, but I must own Summer Interlude.

I don't remember any hints that were for an Eclipse set. The FB crowd would go nuts if it was dvd only...

Oh yeah, that's right. I still don't think they would put any Bergman out on dvd only anymore, especially with that set coming out in the UK being blu-ray.

Could be an Eclipse, but since the UK set is blu-ray (with a few films being OLDER than the hinted ones) I don't see Criterion going that route. I guess we will see soon enough...

I hope your right just for the sake of me paying more than I want to. I just want Summer Interlude as of now. Maybe these could be $20 releases too. There is enough Bergman extras in the collection now anyways.

That Frampton looks awesome, I know nothing about him, but then, I knew nothing about Brakhage, or Jeff Keen until I got their BDs either.

Default Man who fell blu-ray

Just found a sealed copy at a local store for 50$.(i know this is about 10$ above list price but with the exchange rate i think that's ok)
The store had at least 2 other sealed copy's.
Now the question is should i buy these and sell them online???
I know this Blu is out of print but what are these sealed ones going for?

Thanx
MM

As a buyer $50 is a pretty good price. Used copies sometimes pop up here for a little bit less but you won't find it cheaper at Amazon or Ebay.

As a reseller it's harder to say. I stopped watching a couple weeks ago but it seemed like unsealed copies had been selling in the $70ish range. They're definitely in demand and that will only increase over time but don't let the $199 listings get you too excited...I seriously doubt anybody is paying anywhere near that.

CC should have released Summer Interlud and Summer with Monika when they released Smiles of a Summer Night...

and just released a Summer Bergman Boxset

In all seriousness though.... I'd be ecstatic if we got 2 Bergman films in one month He's my absolute favorite director.

Yeah, it was late last month. In fact, I think at some point they even tweeted or posted that it would be later than usual.

You can thank SPHE's Grover Crisp for that ShellOilJunior...same dude who's been delivering such beautiful Columbia high-def masters to Twilight Time. He makes everyone downstream look good.

hmmmmm.........Now I'm baffled because I thought I had read accurate info.
maybe the fact that the film played first threw the author off. not sure.
It always made sense to me that it would have been a mini-series first and so when I read the reverse it really surprised me.
anyway, thanks for the correction.
