Now the question is should i buy these and sell them online???
I know this Blu is out of print but what are these sealed ones going for?
$50 is a great price... I've seen sealed copies go for $60 - $80. So, if you're asking how much of a profit you'd make..it won't be a lot, but you'd be helping out people who don't have it and really want it. I think the more time passes, the more value the OOP titles have.

Somebody get on there and vote to upgrade Drunken Angel for me.

Better yet, vote for Drunken Angel and give me a link so I can vote for it too.

Yeah, but maybe they won't remember they only put it out on LD.

This isn't scientific, but I grabbed the title frame from the original Miramax DVD and compared it to an official screenshot from the blu-ray via DVD Beaver:

Not saying the Miramax is perfect, but the title is centered where it should be, and the blu-ray is obviously way off. I hope Criterion acknowledges this error soon, and hopefully MK2 will do something to fix it.

The microphone was obviously never intended to be seen, had the master been done correctly.

Weird. Looks like Criterions' is great left-to-right (Miramax looks to the right a bit) yet way off Vertically.

I think the DVD is better horizontally than I showed, I cropped it a bit when merging the two.. i was mainly interested in the vertical issue, since that seems to be the reported problem.

On the Facebook poll, I asked for The Bad Sleep Well and Ivan's Childhood. I know those are pretty mainstream to some here, but hey, what can I say... I like those two films.

Three Outlaw Samurai was a lot of fun. It was nice to see Tetsuro Tamba in another samurai film. (He was diabolical in Harakiri)

The film looks pristine, one of the best looking B&W films from that era that I've seen.

Of course, they aren't actually claiming that they are going to use the response to dictate their future releases. As far as I am concerned their question is no different than when they ask what people are watching. It is curiosity and a way to interact with their fans, nothing more.

I got Wages of Fear today from their Valentines Day sale. I have to say, I'm pretty surprised I got it already, considering how many orders there were and that I didn't order til the evening (especially since I'm still waiting on 3 bds I ordered from Horror Movie Empire 3 months ago during their Blue Underground sale)

Comparing the two companies in the same paragraph feels/looks so wrong.

Was very surprised to find my order in my mailbox today. Even my friend who ordered Rushmore got his in today (must've just made it before the backorder).

This may or may not be a goofy question but bear with me.

When I watch Psycho these days I find that more often than not I'm only really interested watching Janet Leigh get to the motel. For me the best part of the film is her driving in the rain at night.

The 'good stuff' is obviously still pretty good but the forty-five miinute setup is what keeps me coming back.

Is rewatching Wages of Fear anything like that?

How often do Criterion have these sales or was this a first? I ordered a half dozen titles through the sale but there are more that I would like to get eventually.

It's two things for me.

1) There is just as much tension every time I watch it, and,

2) The interaction amongst them as they 'make the drive' is brilliant.

Beta, I agree. It's one of the most intense films I've ever watched, and despite disliking Mario, Joe, and to a lesser extent, Luigi, I'm still literally on the edge of my seat everytime they get
[Show spoiler]to the rotted out platform, and when they drive down that washboard road. Also, I tend to brace myself when Luigi and Bimba die.
