Does anyone know if the Yojimbo/Sanjuro combo coming out for Blu-Ray are going to be packages with seperate cases just like they will be bought individually? I really want to get these in separate boxes.

everyone should relax about the cases in general. I felt myself getting worked up about ordering them and decided maybe I don't need them. the original cases stand as a badge of honor and early adoption.

but maybe that's just what I have to tell myself to keep myself sane. either way it's working! and I'm $$ richer.
Could not agree more Variable, thought this thread was going to be renamed “Where is my replacement case”. It is comical that this thread turned into such mucky muck about friggin cases enough already. Ok rant over.

I am truly looking forward to Che, having read numerous books about the controversial figure I am anxious to see how the movie portraits his life story. Roll Tide!

Yes, it will be like The Complete Monterey Pop where the 2 different discs come in individual cases.

Default 8 1/2 out early at BB

In typical BB fashion, they have put out 8 1/2 early. I got Gomorrah 6 days early before it was released. I saw it at one local store the other day and another one today. Check your local store. $34.99, if you have to have it now.

I am gonna check one of my local stores today at lunch to see if they do have any out. It is hit or miss / store to store thing.

I was able to buy a Christmas Tale and Gimmer Shelter about a week early before.

Cool collection! I need to pick up Dreyer's "Vampyr" and also need to pickup "Z"! I thought about getting the "WR: Organisms" many times but I think it's one of those titles that I want more for the collection... Great collection of Criterion Blu's as well!

What!??? How could you file it under 'E'? Don't you know it should be filed at the beginning with other numbered films?

And, please tell me you file "El Norte" under 'N,' PoPress?

Sorry I file it under # Just saying Best Buy had it in the E section, and they do so also for searching for the title on their site for the Blu-Ray the DVD is under #

Out of curiosity, where are you guys finding 8 1/2 at Best Buy? Because for instance, ALL 3 Best Buys in my area have Gomorrah and Gimme Shelter in the C section. I checked one today for 8 1/2, but it wasn't in the E section. I was wondering whether maybe it was in a different area a la Gomorrah/Gimme Shelter, due to a computer screwup or whatever.

Did anyone besides PowellPressburger find it somewhere other than E?

Haha, yeah the G's on those kind of look like C's. So I'm thinking it was just a stupid mistake.

When I bought Gomorrah they had it filed under special interest or something... Becuase it only has the BLU sticker letting you know it is ablu ray and short package check out the DVD sections just in case you never know.

again not all locations may have put out the release early.

Yeah I know, but the Best Buy I went to has consistently put out every Criterion release about a week early. I guess I'll just try my luck at another one!

No, no, no... I can't accept that.

By no means do I know anything about the Spanish language, but isn't the masculine 'el' in Spanish the same kind of thing as the article 'the' in English? So, the translation of "El Norte" into English is going to be "The North," correct? If that's the case, then I wouldn't alphabetize the English translation under 'T' for 'The'... it'd be under 'N' for 'North'.

Yes? No?

No, no, no...

"El Norte" translates to "The North", that's correct.
And if you were filing "The North", it would go under N.
But you're not filing "The North", you're filing "El Norte".
Never you mind what it translates to.
