Wild Strawberries would be a day 1 purchase, no doubt.

That image looks like Gold Rush to me. I highly doubt they would go with a different cover if it was Night Train to Munich. Have they ever changed the cover of an "updated" release? With this I mean if they changed one that was released after the design improvement. Can't say I am dying for the Gold Rush but I am sure a lot of people is going to be excited if it finally gets released .

The Suzuki blu-rays in December had different covers from the previous DVD versions.

But they also were released before the whole design overhaul Criterion took around spine #350 . I mean that I have never seen them updating an already "new design" cover. For me, the old design is the one with the Criterion Collection title written in the upper-right of the box. The new design is the one with the letter C at the upper-left.

The '25 version's rights being the reason for the 1-month delay was never more than internet assumptions.

Well, The Gold Rush and Shallow Grave have been hinted at for June via Twitter, so that leaves 3-4 more.

I'm going with:

L'avventura (Blu upgrade only)
The Gold Rush
Picnic at Hanging Rock (DVD & Blu upgrade)
Shallow Grave
Week End
Y tu mamá también

Oh yeah, I forgot about Shallow Grave.

I'll add that and I think I'll change Drunken Angel to In a Lonely Place.

Also, I forgot about it but how about this latest FB hint being an actual clue at a Nanook of the North upgrade. Someone mentioned it as a possibility at the cforum but now someone else also brought up the fact that Nanook is currently available in a new 4K master so an upgrade would not be impossible .

Are these based off anything, or just what your hoping for?

I hope the BRD trilogy is released sooner than later. Criterion has to release something big for May. They haven't announced anything big all year imo. The BRD trilogy would be big. HUGE.

Gold Rush and Week End were based on hints.

Fail-Safe (and then In a Lonely Place) were based on Sony's current hands off approach to catalog (particularly the Columbia catalog) releases.

I've been putting Drunken Angel on prediction lists off and on since Criterion posted a photo of a Drunken Angel film can (almost two years ago, I think).

As for Shakes the Clown, well, that one might have been a bit on the whimsical side. Though if you squint just right it could make a strangely good fit.

They've been sitting on Mr. Hulot's Holiday for over a year. I'm guessing at this point Criterion is going to wait until they can put out a complete Tati set, even with the StudioCanal/Lionsgate issues with Trafic.
