Wouldn't doubt it. Didn't the Traffic blu-ray come out when Haywire hit theaters?

Glad to finally see more Chaplin. I was hoping for City Lights, but Gold Rush is a fine film. Day one for me.

Yay for The 39 Steps.
Agreed. Just watched my MoC copy of La planete sauvage the other day once again, and it truly is an amazing film. Honestly, invest in a Region Free player so you can watch these gems by Eureka. It's such a good decision.

Just saw the new titles. Disappoint Umberto D. or Children of Paradise didn't list. I'm more than likely

I'm down for The Gold Rush and Shallow Grave for sure. Maybe The 39 Steps. I haven't seen the two Soderbergh flicks or the Samurai Trilogy, but I'll try to watch those in the coming months.

Samurai Trilogy

I can't believe it, I was afraid they would have overlooked these amazing movies. Can't wait to see the new transfers. The DVD transfers were painful to watch. Going to try and sell off my DVD set now lol

Just a heads up and recommendation, Fassbinder's The Third Generation dvd is only $6.99 right now on Amazon. Very cheap for a great film. Get it:

And seriously, they did release a few TV discs in the LD days. I had the Addams Family one. They also released Tanner '88 and I believe an I Love Lucy.

And on DVD they released Fishing With John.

I am trying to limit myself to one purchase a month, and planned on it being Harold and Maude for June since the disc's delay, but I want The Gold Rush, The Samurai Trilogy and Shallow Grave as well. May and June are really great months for Criterion for sure.

I'm debating on holding off on June releases until the BN sale in July. It's a few dollars per title but obviously it all adds up. The only ones that are safe bets are The Gold Rush and Harold & Maude because it was preordered for the April release.

I rarely buy anything outside of those sales personally as there's no absolute rush to see the movies as soon as they're released.

Speaking of no rush, is anybody else still waiting for Deep Discount to ship their $14.99 Last Temptation of Christ?

I've been meaning to ask about that since the release day came and went without a shipping notice.
