Not if you take them out of the box and display all of them (and the box) separately in order

Watching my 10th Anniversary DVD of La Haine tonight. Let's see if this one deserves a BD upgrade spot in my collection.

Do not throw it too hard or too far or you might lose it

In response to ikari777, I was gonna say, "Thanks. It's now been duly noted in the Official Blu-ray.com List of Personal Opinions That Matter section of the site."

So, thanks, P@t, for taking the high road in this situation.

We aim to please!

I was wondering if anyone got the David lean set (I think it was ask already but haven't seen any reply about it or I may have miss them) I really want it but at $94 right now I just can't afford it for three movies. I was wondering how the set look's and more important how are the movies?

Default The Friends of Eddie Coyle

Criterion recently tweeted this: One Scene: The Friends of Eddie Coyle
Can we assume this is a clue?
I've never seen this, but would love to get it on blu-ray. I've actually read a couple of novels by George V. Higgins, but not this one.

I bought the DVD when it came out and never watched it...I see it on the shelf every now and then, but for some reason never think to actually see it!

Code ENJOY5 gives you $5 off at Deep Discount. Not a great deal as most criterions are a little over $20 with coupon. However, you can pre-order The Organizer for $12.96

Great deal. I love that it still gives you the free shipping normally reserved for orders over $15, even though the coupon drops the price below $13.

Thanks for the info, this makes a lot of the Criterions cheaper than they are on amazon! Any idea on when this coupon will expire?
edit: turns out it ends midnight CST Friday 3/30

Well, with the B&N Mystery Coupon, Three Outlaw Samurai has been ordered, to make up for the Harold and Maude delay. I'll probably get it around the same time I was to receive Harold and Maude.

I don't know if I'm too late, but i think Three Outlaw Samurai is about $14 at deepdiscount with the above coupon code. Don't know how much you paid and BN.com though.

Great purchase no matter the price though. I really enjoy that movie.

Indeed. $14 at Deep Discount. That's a steal.

So Criterion Collection blu-ray...

I have some of their DVDs and the transfers are AWFUL!

are they still doing some of that non-sense or have they gotten some standards?

I am leary of their releases

I didn't think Deepdiscount would ship to Canadians at a reasonable price, but now that I've looked at them, I may start ordering from them, although they use DHL for shipping, and DHL is crap as far as I'm concerned. Amazon.com uses them and I always seem to have issues with DHL.

I'm paying about 30 for Three Outlaw Samurai, once you factor in shipping. It's cheaper than Amazon US by about 3-4 bucks, even though Amazon's price was cheaper than B&N's with the coupon, due to their higher shipping rate. To me price isn't too much of an issue (as long as it's not pushing 50 some dollars or higher), and B&N have earned my loyalty as far as I'm concerned when it comes to ordering BDs (despite them being slow as heck), although their service they provide on the Nook Color leaves a lot to be desired if you're not in the US.

This site provides reviews of their BDs, several of them have received top marks. I do believe that The Seventh Seal has a 5/5 for video transfer.

Army of Shadows has a 4/5 for video, Joie just doesn't like the film.

You're paying $16 shipping? I picked up The Last Temptation of Christ from DD when they had a deal recently and it was around $20 shipped to NS.
