BohemianGraham, I'll definitely post some thoughts about The Organizer before Sunday. I'm definitely a fan of these $30 titles, seeing as Three Outlaw Samurai and The Moment of truth were both excellent.

Thanks! I'll look forward to it, as like I said, I preordered it based on the fact that Marcello Mastroianni is in it, and I enjoy his films. I also need more Italian films in my BD collection besides Fellini.

Well...taste is a relative thing and I'm sure that the Frampton set is an interesting set of films..but my vote would undeniably be for Late Spring...just a great Ozu film and a great place for any newcomer to get acquainted with this director.

I like Ozu's films alot, I just know the obvious outcome of a vote is all I was saying.

My initial choice was Ozu as well...but I'm really curious about the Frampton set. I have no idea what else in the collection they're similar to, as I haven't watched any of them..but just from the description, I'm really interested.

From what I've been told...the closest Criterion release would probably be the "By Brakhage" set...but Spidey would be a better judge of that, than myself.

If that's correct, I really like the Brakhage set...so I probably wouldn't be disappointed.

It's the closest by default (American experimental filmmakers). I just hope they will keep releasing sets of experimental films.

I hope so as well. Just recently, Sans Soleil immediately became one of my favorite films in the collection (I'm assuming it counts as experimental). I mistakenly thought I'd seen it previously, but hadn't...and it was such a surprise to 'discover' it on blu-ray.

I wouldn't mind another release of Marker's films either. Prob Eclipse for those though.

Yes, it is usually the 15th. Unless if it's delayed like last month, then it might be the 16th
