https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=190357 Anyways there is a bunch of info in this thread I don't agree with. The one I linked to (WBRDVD2) is the best one and the best deal. WBRDVD2 and BRDVD4 are the same but the 2 has WiFi. BB just so happens to have it cheaper than the 4 at moment. BRDVD3 is the oldest player. Ya they have bad reviews. That's why you buy a refurb that has been fixed and use it only to watch other region discs. Use your regular player for region A. I have two BRDVD4 and they work fine for me. For $40 you can't go wrong. Last edited by HyperRealist; 07-20-2012 at 08:14 AM. |

Well, I finished Peyton Place, and loved it. It was deliciously trashy and borderline ridiculous, but despite all that, it was well written and is still shocking in some parts today. I'm now moving onto Rosemary's Baby, as believe it or not, it's a novel I haven't read yet. I enjoy Ira Levin's work.
Canadian preorders are still cheap of the film version, or they were 3 hours ago. |

I apologize for this, but I wanted to alert those that haven't heard the news. There was a shooting at a movie theater in Colorado at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. 12 to 15 Peolple dead and 38 to 50 people injured (numbers vary from source to source).
It's pretty sad when it's not even safe to see a film out these days. My thoughts are with the survivors and their families. ![]() |

I agree with your statement. The French get all the credit and the other are made out to be imitators. Another excellent example of the French would be Le Samouraď, which really owes itself more to Japanese cinema then anything. But in a twist of irony, Le Samouraď launched some of the greatest hitman movies (from all regions) of all time. I got to say, you know your stuff. A big ![]() |

The only "drawback" has been that I am now spending a lot on region B discs. |

But why would WiFi be a selling point if you need to preserve out-of-date firmware to access the configure menu? I use my BRDVD3 for non 1/A discs exclusively and do not have it networked.
