You know, if you weren't so lazy, you could have made your own packaging.

Okay quick question, as i've recently moved into region free blu-ray land.
Are the following worth upgrading from the old Criterion dvds.

Battle of Algeirs
Breathless
Double Life of Veronique

yay or nay?

Yes. The blu-rays of those put the dvd's in the dust.

You are wasting your time in here. My suggestion go into a Transformers thread or a Star Wars thread and tell them how much you hate Michael Bay or George Lucas and how the movies "sucks". You will have a much bigger reaction and that should keep your inner "troll" very happy for a long time.

So, did you even watch the movie? Which one was it? Did you like it or did it suck? DETAILS, MAN!!!

That's what happens when you buy Blu-rays while wearing a blindfold. Also, by definition, if you hate him/her, then he/she is not your friend. Finally, it's "Criterion Schmiterion," not the way you have it written there; I don't know what that word is. Scmiterion? Ridiculous!

It's more than a rumor in the fact that it's available to watch through Criterion's channel on Hulu Plus. There are many titles available on Hulu Plus that Criterion haven't gotten around to releasing, yet, and it's possible that some of them will never see a physical disc release. However, a high-profile title like Eraserhead will certainly see a disc release at some point.

Another recent case of this happening was the Quadrophenia disc release. Quadrophenia has been available on Hulu Plus since earlier this year, I believe, but it just recently had a physical disc release.

My favorite part of this post was that it got me to look at Returnofthemack's blu collection. It's a pretty traditional "dude" movie collection.

Except Adventures in Babysitting and Hocus Pocus. How did those get in there?

No and I have the damn song stuck in my head. I hated that song almost as much as I hated Mmmmmmmmbop. Yes, I failed as s proper teenage girl in the mid to late 1990s as i dared to like alternative rock and oldies. I'm making up for it now with my Monkeemania.

Better not let some of the Other posters see our comments as they'll flip out and say we're snobby douchebags and are picking on the n00b.

If the guy wants to act like a stupid troll, I say it's gloves off.

I never cared for 90's alternative rock either - too brooding and depressing. I much prefer 60's-70's classic rock.

Back to movies - my copy of Rosetta should arrive today and I hope to add to a discussion here.

Actually I liked the alternative stuff. Unless of course you think Hanson were totally alternative for some reason.

I listen to a lot of different stuff now.

Ironic you find 90s music too depressing yet have just received Rosetta.

I didn't say all of 90's music was depressing.

Not as good a deal as the BN.com 50% off, but Umberto D. Blu is at TCM.com for 18.99 plus shipping. If you've never used them, there is a sign up and save 10% off at the top of the page which brings it to a little over $22 shipped (unless, like me you live in a taxed state for TCM in which case it was 23.45).

True, because Justus came out in the mid-1990s. Not a big fan of that album though, Nez was a bit lazy on that one by recycling Circle Sky, and it wasn't an improvement.

I still listen to a lot of 1990s stuff. I've been mixing it up a little, some Oasis, Liz Phair, and No Doubt mixed in with Neil Young, the Monkees, and Chad Mitchell Trio recently.

Rosetta is still totally depressing though.
