Exactly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I ordered 8 1/2 from B&N, got it on the day it was released, and the next day I get an email saying that the release date for the movie had been delayed and that they would ship it as soon as it would be available.

Got my PARIS, TEXAS from Amazon / UPS yesterday, and it's beautiful ! Nice story, OUTSTANDING PQ and the AQ...I have to remember it's not RAMBO from 2008, it's life, and conversation, so yes, my rear channels got to take a nap while my center channel got a 21/2 hr. workout, but dialogue was crisp and clear. Another fine product from Criterion.

I just ordered 1 dvd (Blast of Silence) as well. Not ordering from them again is right.

Just watched Amaracord last night, amazing film! I would think due to its popularity, Criterion would be working on a blu of it, has anyone heard anything? I am also waiting for Bicycle Thieves on blu, though I know Criterion put out a steller DVD release of this one, I just cant seem to pick it up until it comes to blu.

Thanks for checking in! Your cases have been shipped out with Priority Mail so they should arrive within two weeks. Karen was originally shipping with Media Mail, but I told her to switch to Priority as it would be much faster.

does anyone whose seen Paris, Texas know if it's an appropriate movie to watch with someone who doesn't like nudity and a whole lot of sex (in movies that is), aka my wife?

Back when Deep Discount sold DVDs at less than other online retailers (2003-2005) the extra wait was worth it. Since 2007 or so their prices are often no better than amazon.com, so I've stopped using them too.

I don't recall any sex or nudity at all. There's a character who is sort of a sex worker, but she is told to keep her top on.

I want to say thanks for the info. I did a search on Borders and there was only one store that was a "likely" and that one was in the desert. Called, they had it. I put it on hold, drove up and got it for $39.99. I tried to purchase another but that was the only one left, possibly in all of Calif.
