I got an e-mail today saying my cases shipped.

Also for the deepdiscount buyers, I finally got my dvd from them today. So good luck to the future deepdiscount buyers, because I am going back to Amazon.

Deepdiscount gets on my nerves they ship media mail like crazy one of my friends for an instock item that shipped in a timely manner took about a month to get Media mail should be outlawed, and to be honest it isn't much different price wise for shipping First Class/ Priority. Esp for good customer service.

And you see if tehgeck had left the slipcase on Che, it would raise those "C"s on the spines level with the others.

But......then that pesky Bottle Rocket spine is still out of synch with everything else.

I ordered 4 cases on Dec 18th and got my e-mail yesterday... but then ordered a case for Bottle Rocket around the maybe 5th of Jan cause I ended up buyign it and not waiting for the new cases to hit the stores.

I would think that they are getting more and more caught up with the demand for the cases at this point hopefully.

I can imagine the demand for the cases exceeded their expectations.

Got my shipment notification today.
I ordered on Christmas.

Unfortunately, I only ordered 6, because then I wasn't as obsessed and had no intention on buying all the releases.
Then the plague hit me, and there is no turning back.

Hmmm? So, you're saying Criterion released it after Criterion released it? Makes perfect sense.

Slip Covers are on..... no plastic replacement cases......Not in order by spine #, and not in alphabetical order......

I do have them grouped together though

In regards to the Universal / Criterion releases don't be worried about thinking Criterion won't or can't release their version. They may have a window where they have to be able to give Universal sale room on titles like Fear and Loathing, and possibly Dazed and Confused, Brazil.

Last Temptation of Christ, I kind of think since Universal never released a DVD version themselves I am sure they are very ok with Criterion doing the BD release when time permits.

I think Universal is really aware of the sales for titles like Dazed / Fear / and Brazil, but I think they also know how well the Criterion editions have sold.

I think Universal released Dazed what seems like 3 or 4 times on DVD before Criterion issued their special edition.

As for FEAR and Loathing, well I want to buy it but I am gonna pass on the slight Universal BD release. I want the exclusive Criterion commentary tracks etc.

OUCH you called me on that one... that release I would say a NO go from Criterion on BD since they got all the bonus features from the Criterion release on the Universal release so I am sure they worked out some deal, excluding the booklet containing essays etc

I prefer to organize my Criterion's by spine number and grouping my DVD's and Blu-rays together. I can understand why people separate their Blu's from their DVD though.

Yeah, I meant to say that Universal released it on HD DVD not that long after the Criterion DVD came out. I screwed up my post when I went back to edit it.
