Thank you for posting that! I've been waiting and waiting forever to see anything after that leaked preview from his concert! Never knew you liked Zombie, Spider

But, **** yeah! This looks like it will be a masterpiece!

For me, Last Picture Show and Five Easy Pieces were worth the price of admission, love those movies. Easy Rider was a blind buy (yeah, yeah, I suck) which also turned out to be well worth the price.

Curious, which is the other one in there you want to see?

I believe you can look back at all the off-topic stuff on here and see me talking about me being a White Zombie fan growing up and saying Halloween 2 was my favorite film of 2009. He is my favorite American filmmaker at the moment. I believe I posted that concert trailer a while back on here too. Hopefully this is an early 2013 release, been wanting it to come out this Fall, but it finally looks like it's heading towards an actual release after being picked up by Anchor Bay.

Some cool things about this:

That wink at George Melies in the trailer is cool considering I thought he was influenced by his films with the dream-like scenes in H2 (also very Coffin Joe-ish). I have also read that Velvet Underground's All Tomorrow's Parties is this film's Free Bird/(Devil's Rejects) which is just awesome for me. He has said this film is like "If Ken Russell directed The Shining", so big shoes to fill on that one.

ha, I just hope it's a wide release and not some limited release with a quick blu-ray since it's this $2 million budget independent movie that got picked up by Anchor Bay at the showing from TIFF, who I thought wasn't known for wide release theatrical films. We shall see. Very excited either way.

I can see a semi-wide release since they can market Zombie. Nonetheless, considering where I live, I'm sure I'll get it

Not all of it.
I found The Last Picture Show absolutely wonderful.
I know it's not shared by a lot of people, but I had quite some fun with Head.
I'm not a big fan of Easy Rider, but I guess it can be enjoyed a lot.
The rest of it goes from "meh" to pretty boring.
I still have The King of Marvin Gardens to watch, though.

Absolutely. At that price it's a steal.

If anyone hasnt seen the Eureka / MoC release of 'Touch of Evil' are missing out (region B locked) it is fabulous! They have added all 5 versions of the film as well. NOTHING was left out of this collection...its worth getting a $50 Insignia region free player for, at the least

Five Easy Pieces is one of the greats of the 70s, along with Last Picture Show.

Couldn't agree more, I had never seen Five Easy Pieces until I bought this set. I was always a big fan of Easy Rider, but I think FEP may be Nicholson's best performance, also probably the second best film he's been in (#1 Chinatown).

For those considering a tryout of Hulu Plus...

I went about signing up for a free (1) week trial and was initially disappointed that there didn't seem to be any promotions to increase the time of the trial. Until I went to set up a credit card on the account. If you use any Chase debit or credit card, they will give you a full month free. A nice surprise!

I spent a couple of hours last night loading up my queue from the Criterion tab. Will save big bucks by streaming most titles of interest.

Hope this isn't too off-topic for this thread, but has anyone here dealt with Criterion's customer service? Specifically, their orders@criterion email? My package from last week's flash sale never arrived. I emailed them on Sunday, and again on Tuesday, and haven't heard a word. Would love to hear if this is typical of them or not. Cheers.

Usually it is pretty good. They must be overwhelmed by the sale.
