Beta, you should put on the first page of this threada list of titles that criterion has announced (through their newsletter picture, or some other source, but have not been posted on their website as upcoming) and another list of titles they have hinted at but no one has a definate time period.

Not sure of all of those titles....... but give a list in the format you want to see it, and I'll cut and paste it

problem with that.... is the constant need to update it..... but I can see how it would be helpful........ I can also see why someone wouldn't start on page 1 of this thread if they are new here........ imagine them quoting a post from the first 10-15 posts, and replying with an answer "Yeah... Bottle Rocket is confirmed.... I saw it in a store the other day"

I read back in December that the Third Man is going out of print on page whatever. I can confirm this as true.

Yeah, I wouldn't have Beta start with any speculation for the titles even if they were hinted at in a Criterion newsletter picture. Granted, we can all assume that the titles will be coming from Criterion at some point this year, but, other than the obvious hints colored in blue, who's to say what will definitely be released on blu-ray versus standard definition?

Beta's old (same age as me, I believe)... and a family man... he ain't got time for that kind of stuff. If I remember correctly, I think Beta gave up updating the thread after the first day he started it.

I can confirm through multiple sources that Criterion does indeed release blu-rays.

I hope this is true about Thin Red Line. I enjoyed that film. Would be a great addition to Criterion.

These were placed on the floor.... and that black thing isn't a shelf, it's a subwoofer that they are leaning against....... So I was actually standing over them taking a photo (that's why the stack on the left looks like it's crushed, and tipping to the left..... that's not the case, they are on the floor, not a shelf )

Up is not always up, and down is not always down

haha they do look like they are standing.

But about the cases, I just thought right now I would want the clear for all Criterion blu-rays (since I have them mixed in with my Criterion dvds) so I know that all of the blu-rays are the smaller ones in clear cases. I got all of my Criterion films by spine # with dvd and blu-ray all in together. Sounds like it looks bad, but actually it looks cool. You all should try it.

Do you just place them like that for humorous pictures, or is that how they are generally stored? If you actually store them like that - do you not want to spend the money for shelves, or do you genuinely prefer them on the floor?
