Here's an update on the new cases with already released movies:

This leads me to thinking about the much less pronounced furore over another Far Eastern piece about period politics, and with explicit sex -- Ang Lee's Lust, Caution. But I can hardly believe we've become more accepting of sexuality in mainstream cinema over the years. Granted, I haven't seen this Oshima in almost two decades, so this Criterion will be a rediscovery for all practical purposes. I just hope that the discussion of it remains on the level that Pro-B has established; these things do have a way to get out hand quickly once the film's NC-17 rating becomes widely known.

I know this isn't the place for this.... but anyone willing to trade their "Last Metro" for my Sealed copy of Chungking Express, give me a shout!

I just still have this extra copy of Chungking sitting around........ Maybe the available titles for trade will pick up when something mainstream comes out like Ben Buttons

There are at times some brown "Spots" towards the bottom center of the picture..... but more noticeable is a light LINE down the center of the screen....

It comes and goes.... but it's a neon yellow/green looking line, VERY THIN.... and I would think it comes from the master, but it was there in one scene... then another.... then it was gone but came back 45 minutes later.....

I may have to get the time or put up a screen shot (if I can capture it with my camera)

Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed it.

For those who have ordered from Criterion.com direct - do you remember what form of mail they use in the U.S. do they send orders priority mail or just first class? seems like what they charge for shipping for one release would over priority mail. I hear they are fast at any rate.
