I'm really surprised Happiness hasn't been releases by them yet.

True, Happiness needs a proper HD release for sure. I would love to see Storytelling come out with all the deleted alternate material. It has been so long since I have seen that movie.

I picked up Trilogy of Life and Weekend at Barnes this morning. Can't wait to see them all... all blind buys but I have heard so much about Weekend since the late 90's that I am glad I held out for this HD release.

Storytelling would make an amazing release given the extensive cuts/censorship.

+1 I am excited to have finally picked up Godard's Weekend on blu-ray; I've heard a lot about it to the point were it almost seems like some legendary elusive find. I've appreciated much of Godard's work.

What are the chances of Criterion releasing more Antonioni classics. I would love to see L'Eclisse get the blu ray treatment. Although, for me, the jewel in the crown would be a blu-ray edition of The Passanger

Also what any news or rumours in regards to a blu ray edition of Le Samourai

Me too...it's one of my most-wanted upgrades, L'avventura too.

I settled on Tokyo Drifter and Chungking Express. The fact that you say Tokyo Drifter is batshit crazy has convinced me to watch it this weekend.

I was told by a Barnes and Noble employee that the sale has been extended through the 25th or 26th. Call and make sure before you quote me on this.

I remembering reading years ago (2006 or 2007) that they had gotten the rights to La Notte. Who knows what happened with that though...

It seems that many others are also saying this.... (26th)

Looks like we can save a lot of cash between this, and the 40% off in Dec.

Question about that one: Is it La Notte that's part of the 'trilogy' or Red Desert? I've always seen both of them referred to as being part of it, in various places.

The trilogy is L'Avventura, La Notte and L'Eclisse.

My guess is they will release all in a box set in the future. La Notte is probably getting a restoration.

hmmm looks like i may have to wait to buy the qatsi trilogy during the late December 40% off sale? since you can't pre-order for half off right now. does anyone know if you can pre-order December titles in store for half off or no? same problem as online?

I was able to pre-order all the December titles for 50% off. I guess they stopped letting you do that.

Quick question regarding Barnes and Noble's sale.

I'm going to be in San Francisco on Sunday, and was going to visit the store in Emeryville.

Can anyone confirm it is open until 11pm as per the website - the Bay Shopping Centre website seems to suggest it shuts at 6pm.

Thanks

Is this store only? Or also online?
