We've already had to wait 2 days longer than usual. Can't they at least give us an AM announcement?

I would love a Preston Sturges box set.

Maybe they are going to start rolling out like 8 titles a month possibly 3-4 upgrades a month. Again I can dream.

Maybe they've somehow managed to increase their capacity and will be upgrading at an increased rate without cutting into their ability to release new spines.

That would fit with today's slate being a big one and 2013 being very good to us.

Let's see, what else...

Badlands was the tip of the iceberg and they now have a major relationship with Warner.

Paramount said what the hell and signed over tons of cool stuff prior to signing their distribution agreement with Warner.

They got The Third Man Back. I mean back.

They're opening their own authoring house. Grover Crisp is going to run it for them. It will sell ice cream too.

Four to seven members of their staff will be taking a (hopefully months long) hiatus to replace the Chicago Bears offensive line. An uncharacteristically verbose Jay Cutler will be heard to say 'sure, **** it, why not'.

Hopefully everyone will be surprised, like the Bears secondary always looks when any QB throws a slant on them.....

If they really do re-release The Third Man, I am going to be so pissed off because I just spent a lot on a brand new one a few months ago.

You would probably feel how all those people who shelled out stacks of cash for the original Salo DVD felt.

You got the movie, for a price you were willing to pay for it.... so why be upset? If they re-release it with additional extras etc... then it's "unfortunate" but if it's just the same thing, it's just one more release you won't have a desire to buy.... no loss.

I'm wondering if they're gonna do a MULTIPLE MULTIPLE film set.... like BBS but 10+ films? Kurosawa etc? Seems too early for that though.... remaining Chaplin?

Badlands is a Warner title as well and that was all but announced by a really obvious newsletter clue.

That doesn't necessarily mean they'll be releasing any other Warner titles or that Warner deals are even plausible but it does mean 'sorry, Warner' no longer automatically shuts down speculation.

yeah, I think since WB's has mad that Paramount deal for a ton of their titles it could possibly mean they want it to no be so one sided with licensing titles. so I think Criterion finally cracked WB's and they are announcing The Devils today.

I might have screwed that up. I put the dvd in my Amazon.uk cart earlier this week but never finished the order.

Sorry

You shouldn't be, you'd probably sell it for the same price you paid if not more.

I wouldn't object to an upgrade of This Sporting Life.
