Well, this hour doesn't look very promising.

Hopefully 5 P.M. is more rewarding.

If genuine, I don't think the Badlands cover is terrible but it doesn't convey the beauty of the film itself. Something like this would have been far better:

Those pictures look legitimate to me. The color schemes, etc. I wonder where they came from if they are. I'm hoping I'm wrong though. In my opinion, the Badlands one doesn't fit the film at all. It's cool but it's not the right vibe.

This is much more fitting.

It's funny, Facebook is linking to this page as the origins of the covers, and we are pointing to Facebook.

If those covers are legit, I'm still not seeing anything "Big" about the lineup... unless they mean Badlands being much-anticipated.

You don't need an intervention, you need the freakin' announcements.

We all think you're being completely reasonable and if that doesn't reassure you I don't know what the hell would.

I think they may be real. Seriously, who is going to make a fake Monseiur Verdoux cover?

I agree, only Badlands and Monsieur Verdoux seem big, in my opinion, although everyone figured those two were coming.

We'll find out and be upset/happy/proven wrong/right shortly.

I'm sure there are some out there, but I've never seen any fake covers that have as much detail/time put into them as these Chaplin & Malick ones.

+1. Big is the way one looks at it, doesn't mean others do. Like big to me would be finally releasing those World Cinema Foundation films, or surprising us with a film we didn't even know was coming.

I hope these covers are fake just for the sake of having a new slate of titles to announce.

Yeah, by "Big" I was hoping for something, you know, BIG. Like the Dekalog. Or at least a movie over 3.5 hours. (La Belle Noiseuse, anyone?)

I was hoping for a box set. If this is the slate then it would be a shame to go three months without an Eclipse what with all the titles they have on Hulu now.

Criterion has already hinted that it is coming out in the future, so it would be a logical film to make a fake cover for.

Or what about all of the Oshima films they have had on Hulu for awhile (and now learning that they have even more with the ATG Oshima films). What about Rivette finally? Anything could have been "big".

I really wanted these finally:

Those covers have way too much detail and work put into them to seem fake.

I don't know, we'll see soon.
