Only 36 out of the 58 blu-rays there (yeah, 'only' is a terrible word to use, but I'm using it since the last 3 of you mentioned getting more )..and 2 of the Eclipse sets.

On DVD, before I bought my Blu-ray player at the beginning of December (bangs head against wall in frustration at my own stupidity):

The 39 Steps
Anatomy Of A Murder
The Game
The Gold Rush
Heaven's Gate
Letter Never Sent
A Night To Remember
Rosemary's Baby
The Samurai Trilogy
Weekend

On Blu-Ray:

Godzilla
Purple Noon

Eclipse purchase:

When Horror Came To Shochiku

Nice buys, guys!

I'll eventually get all of the Blu-rays (more than likely), but I'm in no hurry. I'm starting to prioritize my new releases, and so far March doesn't look too good for my wallet!

EDIT: The only ones I'm in a rush to get are:

Badlands
Blob
Monsieur Verdoux
On The Waterfront

Aside from a few titles I definitely don't want, I would also like to complete the blu-ray collection..but I don't see it happening too soon. I usually get one or two new releases each month (ones I really want), and wait to buy others ones I don't want as much during a sale somewhere..

The only one of these that I really want to upgrade to Blu-ray right now is Letter Never Sent, just because it's my favorite of the bunch and I want to see the wilderness scenery on Blu. I can bide my time with the others, because the DVD transfers really aren't half bad.

I thought that I was being smart by purchasing all of these at the two Barnes & Noble 50% Off sales in 2012, but I ended up buying my new Blu-ray and television setup just month after making the handful of November sale purchases on DVD.
Of course, I may not be smart, but I can lift heavy things.

You should upgrade The Game. It's such a beautiful transfer.

This was actually my first year buying Criterion films, so my haul for 2012 is smallish...

1) The Complete Monterey Pop Festival
2) Monsoon Wedding
3) Fanny and Alexander
4) Chungking Express
5) Days of Heaven
6) The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

2.) Chungking Express
3.) 8 1/2
4.) Paris, Texas
5.) In the Mood for Love
6.) Twelve Angry Men
7.) Paths of Glory

I have to say, their 2012 lineup wasn't too unkind to me

Belle de Jour
Godzilla
The Samurai Trilogy

Down by Law
Anatomy of a Murder
World on a Wire

Vanya on 42nd Street
The Last Temptation of Christ
Letter Never Sent
David Lean directs Noel Coward
A Night to Remember
Last Spring
La Haine
In the Mood for Love

Sunday Bloody Sunday
Rosemary's Baby
Certified Copy
Shallow Grave

Rashomon
Trilogy of Life
Brazil
Gold Rush
The 39 Steps

Watched are in bold. Which might look low but for me that's actually a pretty high watch rate. I tend to buy things that catch my eye and then watch them months - sometimes many months - later.

I've been region free since August, bought 53 blus so far
Mainly from B&N & Amazon sales, and a handful from eBay(brand new), no import fees either so thats allowed me to get so many.

From 2012 releases I bought:

39 Steps
Anatomy Of A Murder
Belle De Jour
Le Havre
In The Mood For Love
Letter Never Sent
Lonesome
Night To Remember
The Organizer
Rashomon
Rosemary's Baby
Summer Interlude
Summer With Monika
Three Outlaw Samurai

I bought Brazil aswell, but that appears to be lost in the post. :sigh:

BTW how are Criterion at replacing booklets? I opened my Army of Shadows to discover the front cover has an awful foldover/rip.

I'd like to see a Criterion release of Point Blank (1967), starring Lee Marvin. Honestly, I'd be happy with a Blu-ray release in general of this film, but Criterion would work wonders for it.

My Criterion purchases were:
In the Mood for Love
Rashomon
Umberto D.
Rosemary's Baby
Weekend (Le Week-End)
Some of the others (2012) were able to be borrowed or were seen in an older release (possibly DVD).
I once bought Certified Copy on Blu-ray, but not Criterion's release.

David Lean Directs Noel Coward (watched: Brief Encounter)
Down by Law
The Gold Rush
Le Havre

Heaven's Gate
In the Mood for Love
La Jetee/Sans Soleil
Letter Never Sent
Lonesome
A Night to Remember
The Organizer
Purple Noon

The Qatsi Trilogy
Rashomon
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Samurai Trilogy
Shallow Grave
Summer with Monika

Three Outlaw Samurai
Traffic
Umberto D.
World on a Wire

I watched a couple (Down by Law, Le Jetee...) right before I upgraded.

If you enjoy it, or are interested in it, you definitely need to upgrade The Samurai Trilogy.

Don't even hesitate.

Go to DVD Beaver and look at the comparisons.
