Happy New Year you all. 2013 will be a great for Criterion and here's to many amazing movies to come and many surprises in store for us. In 2012 I bought a total of 14 titles and I would have bought more if I had the funds. Thank god for the B&N sales plus Amazon dropping prices too. I just wish Criterion would release like double the amounts of upgraded titles a month so we all can get those films we all desire.

Ok I have narrowed it down to either Blow Out or Shallow Grave. Which one would you guys suggest? You have all been very helpful so far!

A couple of obvious ones: Harold Lloyd's Safety Last, Devil's Backbone, and Eraserhead.

The Birdcage?

Edit: Maybe the guy with the kid in the window is Chaplin's "The Kid"?

BLOW OUT! is such an amazing movie. It's hugely stylish, intriguing and contains Travolta's best performance. If you liked The Conversation or Blow Up you will love this one. It's also one of Quentin Tarantino's favorite films if that counts for anything.
