Of course, from Nick's original question, there is also no way to tell whether or not he is asking for the original Criterion cover that's been scaled to fit inside the Criterion clear plastic cases or if he's searching for an actual "custom" modified image cover to fit inside a regular blu-ray case. I'm saying that the question wasn't very specific from the beginning, but the question was answered truthfully and in the shortest manner I knew how to at the time. I made a cover for Benjamin Button, re-sized to fit the clear cases.
A member posted a link to download the file on page 229 of this thread, and I posted some pics of the art in a clear case on page 226. ![]() Edit: Holy crap jimonee78, you beat me to it. |

err I'm having problems to decide which movie should I buy, so I'm kinda asking for help. So here's the deal, should I buy the Che BD or 2 other(kinda can't say which 2 but I know that it's a race between 8 1/2, Bottle Rocket, In the Realm of Senses and Kagemusha) the better question here is this one. Is Che worth ditching 2 movies?

i got kagemusha and bottle rocket. 8 1/2 is def. on my list to buy. it really depends on what you feel like:
-Che, if you feel like biographical epix -8 1/2, if u feel like using a lot of ur brain cells. -Bottle Rocket, if you want a good laugh and luv OCD and luv planning things out and luv losers (similar to napoleon dynamite) -In the Realm of the Sense if you're into sex sex sex. -Kagemusha, if you like Samurais, ninjas in huge epic battles. Hehe, it's so interesting to see the different Criterion forums where on the other forums, people put more emphasis on Kurosawa and his work on "Kagemusha" while on blu-ray.com, there is more emphasis on the transfer and hardly anyone comments on the actual film. But as for the too much grain... It depends. For example, I enjoyed "French Connection" on BD which was director approved and some people felt it had too much grain. While, "That's Entertainment"...I just didn't enjoy the PQ for that BD release. Quote:
On Blu-ray, Federico Fellini’s 8½ (Otto e Mezzo) is a must. The other three....do your research. I enjoyed "Bottle Rocket" but in no way do I think it's a Wes Anderson masterpiece. But it was quite enjoyable and to hear the history between the filmmaker and the Wilson brothers. Commentary track was not as in-depth as I would like, mainly because the guys have not seen the film for so long and too much time has passed. "In the Realm of Senses"...it's not for everyone. Posted my feelings a few posts back. As for "Kagemusha", do you enjoy samurai films? I enjoy "Jidaigeki" films but when it comes to samurai-period films, I have to be in the right mood to watch them. My approach is the same to Fellini's Italian neo-realism films. I have to pace myself and be in the right mood to watch them. But it's Kurosawa on Blu-ray. For some people, that should be enough. For me, I say do your research and see if those type of films are for you. If you have not watched any "Jidaigeki" films prior and you enjoyed "Kagemusha", you'll be drawn into watching more Kurosawa or many other films and may discover you will like other directors such as Hiroshi Inagaki, Hideo Gosha, Masaki Kobayashi, Masahiro Shinoda, Kihachi Okamoto, Yoji Yamada, etc. Last edited by kndy; 02-11-2010 at 04:10 AM. |

anyone think Che will drop in price? Yes, I understand it's more because of the length of the movie, but it's not my fault they made a movie so long. I think all Criterion's should be the same price, regardless of how many disc's there are.
I want the movie, but I don't want to pay the 30+ dollars for it. Thoughts? Should I just wait it out for awhile? |
