Hey CC if you could would you e-mail me the full sized cover arts for the May releases. At work I can not pull em up except for by e-mail? Dying to see stagecoach covers etc. If you can send the NON BD covers minus the blu sticker. :-) although M may be the exception :-)

I can, but it may take me a bit... since I'm at work, too.

I'm excited about the Brakhage set.
This is the biggest release (in regards to the amount of content) Criterion had put out on blu-ray.

New releases:

Walkabout
M
By Brakhage: An Anthology, Volumes One and Two
Stagecoach
So, in terms of Spine numbers... would "By Brakhage: An Anthology" be #184, #517-#518?

Walkabout #10 (on Blu-ray)
M #30 (on Blu-ray)
By Brakhage: An anthology, volumes one and two #184, #517-#518 (on DVD and Blu-ray)
Stagecoach #516 (on DVD and Blu-ray)

Oh man, 4 releases, one having an MSRP of $79.95! Criterion, what are you doing to my wallet!!!

Very curious to see if they have any tricks up their sleeves regarding packaging for the 3 disc release.

I'll be getting M and Stagecoach for sure. Not sure that Brakhage has enough of a rewatchability factor for me to spend that much $ on it. Haven't seen Walkabout.

edit: just saw Stagecoach will have a commentary by Jim Kitses, who was my thesis chair. Took a class with Tony Kaes as well, who is doing the commentary on M

I totally called Stagecoach as a May release way back here.

See? You can't beat McCrutchy (but really, would you hit a guy on crutches?)

The Blu-ray set will be Spine #518 and so it's likely that it will contain #184 in a plastic case and then #517 (Vol. 2) in another plastic case, and then the closed side of the box will show spine #518. They did the same thing with TCMPF on Blu-ray (though that was in-sequence).

And you know that gorgeous artwork alone is worth the 50% off price.

YES !
Great news, pretty excited with Walkabout and Brackhage (was about to buy the dvd set). Guess í'll wait to buy the criterion release of M, instead of the Masters of Cinema one. And i know i'll end up buying Stagecoach too, don't mind emptying my pocket for a good reason.

Hey guys. I currently own Bottle Rocket, The Third Man, and Paris, Texas.

I am looking to blind buy a Criterion, because I am really intrigued by these movies and am pretty sure I will enjoy all of them.

Which one would be my best bet out of these?

Chungking Express
The Last Emperor
The Seventh Seal
Wings of Desire
Che
Howards End
Last Year at Marienbad
The 400 Blows

I was leaning The 400 Blows, but wanted some other opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Among the first 10 Criterion releases I don't have is "Walkabout" (and also the John Woo films, nor do I want to spend the expensive premium for those right now). Did any of you enjoy the film? I know Ebert has it in his greatest films list.

Great movie and one of the best photographies ever. A must buy.

I didn't even pay attention to the great Oshima's Outlaw Sixties Eclipse series. I thought I was going to pay alot in March and April, but it just keeps coming.
