A quick question on Pierrot le fou: I was watching it (actually re-started watching it for the third time) yesterday and I noticed that in the monochromatic scenes (where the characters seemed to talk like they were in product ads), when Ferdinand passes by a couple and the scene changes from green to blue, there was a jump cut. Now I've read that Godard uses these techniques in his films, but this almost seemed like an error in editing.
Anyone else see this? Is this normal (at least for a Godard movie)? Thanks. |

I need some advice regarding cases I ordered. When the case for Third Man came available at the end of October, I paypalled Criterion $20 for that and three other cases. I promptly got the Third Man case but the other three have been available for quite a while now and I haven't received them. I've sent Criterion at least three emails politely asking for an ETA and all my emails have gone unanswered.
I'm considering logging a dispute on paypal as my next step, but I'd much rather not go there and just get the cases I ordered. What do you guys recommend? |

![]() As long as their site lets you place an order, yes you should be fine. If they run ouot they will NOT take any more orders. Plus they stated they can produce the discs until end of March, just after that whatever stock is left is all they can offer. |

You could say that but it's still a member of Criterion. |

I've watched some Criterion movies on Netflix streaming. While certainly not of Blu-ray quality, their HD streams have pretty good PQ. I've seen and enjoyed Gomorrah and Che, and started waching Pierrot le fou (until it's OOP status was announced and I had to buy the BD). The other Criterions are on my Blu-ray queue. That way, I get to find out which ones are worth rewatching, and therefore, worth purchasing. Of course, if money were no object, all Criterions would be easy blind buys.
