Luckily, I had already picked those up. It's my day off and I was sleeping late and hadn't seen the sale until a few minutes ago.
I knew Waterfront would sell out, I just...ugh. Would have been so much to get that plus Brazil and Sansho.

I'm counting on BN's B2G1 to save me. I'm hoping a third movie at the $50 price point is announced for June/July, so that way I can get that plus Brazil and Waterfront for a fair deal.

I can't believe Ivan's Childhood sold out before On The Waterfront.

Picked up The Man Who Knew Too Much, Heaven Can Wait (DVD) and In The Mood For Love. That last one will be my first Wong Kar-Wai film, so I'm pretty excited. Hope it was a good choice, since I've heard good things.

Oh what the hell. I finish The Master and this happens?

EDIT: And my two most wanted titles are sold out. Damn.

The Postwar Kurosawa set is my favorite, although I do love When Horror Came To Shochiku.

Thanks for the list.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to order any Eclipse. I may just hold off for new releases.

Here was my order:

Solaris
The Times of Harvey Milk
Les visiteurs du soir
Heaven's Gate
Weekend
Two-Lane Blacktop
The Tin Drum
Ivan’s Childhood
Pina
The Ballad of Narayama
The Man Who Knew Too Much
The Kid With a Bike
On the Waterfront
Chronicle of a Summer
Sansho the Bailiff
The Qatsi Trilogy

Probably of the ones I bolded, I am most excited for Pina. When I saw the trailer a year or so ago, I was mesmerized. On the Waterfront is another one...I have seen the classic scenes but not the whole film.

possibly stupid but does Yojimbo/Sanjuro BD boxset have what number?

I've found that some boxset sets seem mess up the numbering theme. I can't remember specifically but I think Ozu There was a Father/Only Son was weird with the number on the box.

I finally decided to order Yojimbo/Sanjuro as well as Seven Samurai on BD since Critierion has a 50% sale and thought I might as well I was planning on getting these eventually

There's two cases inside the set with the #s 52 and 53. The exterior of the box doesn't have a number, though.

I've been searching for/wanting On The Waterfront more than other titles these past couple weeks and of course that's the one I miss today.

No wife for me, so no problem!

In all seriousness, I used part of my tax return, so that will be it for probably the rest of the year for me.

Bought 12 Angry Men, Following, and Ivan's Childhood from Criterion's flash sale that is going on right now!

I've already seen Following and Ivan's Childhood, so I'm picking up the BDs to rewatch them again sometime in the future. This will be the first time I'm watching 12 Angry Men, so I hope all the praise for it is justified.
