I don't think I'm going to buy any DVD Criterions because there's always a chance of an upgrade.

On a side note, I agree with your comment about more apparel. Santa brought me a long sleeve shirt with the logo on it for Christmas so I think I'll wear that to class sometime next week.

On an even bigger side note, I think it's going to be a Criterion afternoon and evening for this guy. Crappy weather and no more classes until next week.

On a larger than life side note, I have all of the Criterions I haven't watched yet sticking out of my case so I think I'm going to start watching them in alphabetical order or something. I may watch the Wes Anderson films today (Bottle Rocket, Darjeeling Limited, Rushmore), but part of me wants to watch something else

I'm sort of leaning toward Design For Living and The Red Shoes

Not all but MOAR from my point of view! But again, I'm really just delving into these types of movies after only watching American films that were mainstream.

Black Narcissus
Black Moon
Design For Living
Fish Tank
Lola Montes
Red Shoes
Rosetta
Rushmore

I don't want one with the logo, but I want more with artwork, like the House one..which I really like.

The Anderson ones were the ones I was referring to when I said there's a few I never want. Not a fan of them..

I would love some artwork shirts. I don't have a House shirt because I honestly hate the color orange. If I have a headache, for example, the thoughts of orange make me want to puke.

I'm not a big Anderson fan at all but if I want to watch all of these Criterions, I have to get through them!

Can I recommend starting with Fish Tank first? I found Black Moon tiring, honestly.

Barnes & Noble near me apparently has a copy of On The Waterfront listed online for $36.27. A membership discount would take that down even more.

This could be a self-control fail. On The Waterfront would also be a decent #200 on the list, though.

I'll go do a look-see after work to make sure the box art isn't jacked up. This is a Blu-ray package that I'd prefer to see in person before I buy.

Yeah, that's what I was going to do.

Anyway, off to start the day with Black Narcissus.

Au revoir, mateys!

A Night to Remember

This is the 17 I narrowed it down too with

400, Paris Texas, Kiss Me Deadly, Ivan's Childhood, Traffic, Night of Hunter as virtual locks. Need 6 more. Leaning to Rashomon as one as it would be my first non-Godzilla Japanese classic film.Read wiki to Umberto and I think id like it too.

These color changes every second are annoying in Black Narcissus

You really shouldn't have cut the Thin Red Line. I think it might be the best film Criterion has released.

Down by Law was excellent and you should add The Man Who Knew too Much if you don't have it

That was a tough one to cut. But I think I may get that, Che, and a few others during B&N sale when it might be a better price.

It's $34.49 on Amazon (oddly, .50 less than the DVD version), roughly the same price as B&N with a discount & tax.
