Yes, very much so.

Ozu or Mizoguchi ( Ugetsu, maybe it is too soon after Sansho )

Yeah, it would be too soon, but I wouldn't be complaining if they went ahead with it.

I just think that just one Ozu on Blu is a crime.

What are the chances of Criterion releasing David Fincher's "Panic Room"? That would complete all of the Fincher titles on Blu.

Can anyone tell me if Easy Rider got a release on blu ray or was it just DVD? Also I seem to remember that RAN was announced quite some time ago but I can't seem to find it, did it go OOP?

I'm waiting today to see if Colonel Blimp drops in price. I haven't seen it and don't want to drop 31.99 on it.

Easy Rider was released as a DigiBook but has gone Out Of Print. It's available through the Criterion release of America Lost And Found: The BBS Story.

Ran has been released via StudioCanal.

To piggyback on that reply, Ran was originally planned to be released back in 2008, I think, but Criterion lost the rights before it was actually released. There was cover art circulating the interweb for it as well.

My guess would be zero. It would have to have some brilliant extras to warrant Criterion money.

It may be officially out of print, but amazon has had it in stock for a while.

It doesn't seem to be on blu-ray in any other country either...maybe a rights issue or something? In the UK you can at least get More and The Valley, which both have Pink Floyd soundtracks.

I know the Trylon in Minneapolis screened it within the last couple of years. There's a small chance it was a DVD projection (I didn't go so I don't recall), but most all of their screenings are 35mm.

There is a Russian blu ray release of The Wall (toddly6666 posted the link in The Weirdest, surreal movies thread). If someone is interested in picking it up sooner.

Thanks, I found the post, here's the link: http://oz.by/video/more10181839.html (I wonder if this is a licensed release or a bootleg though--it doesn't appear when you use the blu-ray.com search bar to look for "the wall" with the search restricted to Russian blu rays)

Easy Rider DigiBook for $19.99 -- Criterion may have slapped Sony's transfer on a disc and called it a day!

Edit: The database entry states it's a DigiBook -- click on the pic to see
