Love that one. Although none of them have disappointed me, so it's hard to place them in order.

Yeah there isn't a single one I haven't really enjoyed. Chinese Roulette is probably my favourite.

Well, Despair to me felt more Stoppard than Fassbinder.

The other 3 are at $20.), so you can get them through the marketplace, but act fast. I don't know if they will be released anytime soon from anyone.
According to the amazon listing, those two are in the 'Fassbinder collection two' set...which I can get for $15. I guess I'm going to go for that!

At least watch the rest on Hulu, they're all worth seeing.

I haven't seen Safety Last! But I remember really liking Lloyd's The Kid Brother.

I'm in for Things to Come solely for the Kalat commentary, which I'd put money on being better than the film itself. He writes about it here:

Marketa Lazarova, together with On the Waterfront, should be one of the year's best releases.

Sublime film. And the Czech transfer (see cover for the Czech Blu-ray below) already looks stunning. The Criterion release should be the ultimate package.

Super news

I saw that one during their week of free Hulu films. It felt like one of the ones with the most ideas--one of the more interesting ones indeed.

Oh yeah. They re-released them (only the discs) in 2 vol sets.

The 1st set includes Whity and Pioneers in Ingolstadt.

The 2nd set includes Martha and In a Year with 13 Moons.

The 5th film can only be bought by itself (Why Does Herr R Run Amok).

I own all 5 in their original standalone releases. I heard the 2 sets are just both discs in 1 case (and instead of the film cover art it's that pic of Fassbinder).

Also I highly recommend my most watched Fassbinder film, The Third Generation. Wonderful dvd, that I have no clue why it's so cheap.

I just hope Criterion has more Vlacil in the future. The Facets discs (Adelheid, Valley of the Bees, etc) are OOP and would look amazing on blu-ray.

Thanks--I'm going to go for these few while waiting for any of the others to possibly be announced someday

Don't forget the 2 Olive Films releases (You obviously know about those).

I have been asking Olive alot about Stationmaster's Wife (Uncut TV version) and all they can say is that they plan for a late 2013/early 2014 release of it. I have never seen the TV version (just the short theatrical version New Yorker released), so I am beyond excited.

I just hope one day someone will release Lili Marleen on blu-ray (no dvd release in US) and the rest of his TV films (Jail Bait, etc). My dream of owning all his films will be complete.

After seeing a really low PQ version of it on YouTube, I'd love to see Jail Bait released. Bremen Freedom and Shadow of Angels too.

Wild Strawberries! Finally!

Awesome movie. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has yet to see it. Hopefully Criterion gets around to releasing Bergmans entire filmography

Was hoping Eraserhead would be announced this month.... Maybe around Halloween time perhaps?

Things to Come and Wild Strawberries are no-brainers for June purchases, especially with the apparent Barnes & Noble sale that month. I'm intrigued by this Marketa Lazarova film, though.

Le Samourai...

It's just a matter of time before Le Samourai hits Blu-ray, and it seems that it's building up to a 2013 release with all the talk.

I'm also curious as to when Lord of the Flies will see a release.
