It's definitely worth the Amazon sale price though
I think that The Game really showcases Michael Douglas's acting range. From being an arrogant multimillionaire to sheepishly asking people for help in a roadside restaurant. It's just a cool acting role across the board.

I already own The Game on Blu-ray, so there was no need to buy it for this sale.

Aside from my purchase of Rosemary's Baby, the only other title on the sale that tempted me was Rashomon, because I'd like to upgrade my old DVD of that movie at some point. I'm sort of burned out on Kurosawa movies lately, though, and I'm not sure why. I mean, I've loved almost all his movies and still do, but I just simply do not feel like ordering the Rashomon Blu-ray at this time. Of course, I'll probably become fully enthusiastic about Kurosawa movies in a month or so, and the movie will be full price again.

I have no interest in owning Brazil or the Wes Anderson film.

In the Mood for Love sounds interesting, but it's another one that just does not tempt me enough on this particular day.

Definitely, it plays on the Gordon Gekko persona very well.

As for In the Mood for Love, many of us here will lay our reputation on line wagering you'd like it. If you liked Wong Kar Wai's Happy Together, you'll like this.

I noticed the novel won the Nobel Prize for literature, and although the film didn't appeal to me as much as I anticipated, it did compel me to read the novel. It's on my list once I finish The Book of Merlyn by TH White, the 5th book of The Once and Future King.

Karagarga. It probably had the best PQ of the aforementioned TV films, but still begs for a DVD release.

I definitely see what you mean. I can agree to some extent

Also, people should get on that Amazon sale and snap the titles up

Finally upgraded my HD-DVD of The Game and also picked up Rashômon. These were 2 of the titles I was planning to purchase during the next B&N sale so I'm very happy.

I've been planning to purchase a multi zone Blu-ray player. Wes Anderson is the reason. So I've just ordered "The Royal Tenenbaums" ($17.49 >>> awesome deal) which will be my first Criterion Blu-ray...

I got impatient, y'all.

A couple hours ago, I saw that Amazon had still not shipped my copy of Badlands, so I canceled the order and grabbed a copy from Best Buy down the street when a co-worker and I went there during lunch break. A dollar or two cheaper with a Rewards certificate, so everything worked out well.

I want to watch Badlands this weekend, so I wanted to make sure I'd have it in time.

I'm pumped, because Badlands was one of the reasons why I wanted a Blu-ray player in the first place. One of the best movies ever.

Speaking of Badlands, my copies of Badlands and Colonel Blimp just arrived via Amazon

I know what I'm watching this afternoon

Looking forward to your review of Badlands.

I'm going to finish watching the last two Resident Evil movies in the box set over the next night or two, then watch Badlands on Saturday afternoon, methinks. It's supposed to be raining all weekend, so I'll have nothing better to do.

I definitely will post my review and that definitely sounds like a great way to make use of a rainy day

I just watched Resident Evil 2-5 last week as I have not ever seen them back-to-back. I really liked how the storylines are pretty consistent. I also liked how they bring back the same actors/actresses to play the same roles. The movies are definitely enjoyable.

On a Criterion note, I watched a Criterion film after RE5. And loved it.

Well, I've watched a bunch of CC titles in the last 2 weeks that I probably couldn't name the exact one I saw that night. Insignificance and Modern Times were the last two I viewed. But last week I sis watch the entire Qatsi Trilogy, so most likely, on the night I saw RE5, I probably saw one of the Qatsi films. Great stuff, especially the first. That's probably the one that has the most replay value, IMO.

I ordered for Brazil and also for Cohen Media's release of Tristana which, going by the reviews, is an excellent release, and at 19.99$, awfully like a Criterion at 50% off
