I wonder how many actually bought these because they like the films.
![]() They don't offer international shipping. I'll have to find another way. |

Also, you kept recommending the America: Lost and Found set to me, yet you hate it? ![]() |

...wait, you don't even like The Last Picture Show? My professor would have been so sad.

Which film do you like the least and the most from that set? I have only seen Easy Rider and The Last Picture Show both quite some time ago and both were not really my kind of thing but I have been wanting to see Five easy Pieces for awhile now.

I love The Last Picture Show with all by heart, even more since taking a class on it, but every time I see Five Easy Pieces I feel more and more that it is the quintessential film in the collection and one of the most enduring films of that entire era of cinema.

Easy Rider was the one I disliked the most. It was the only film I really didn't 'get', I suppose. It might be necessary to have more of an appreciation for the time period, but I had the hardest time finding any substance in Easy Rider that gave it a reason for being celebrated. Reading the essay included with Two-Lane Blacktop last night, however, I do realize that that film couldn't have exited without Easy Rider, so I do understand it has its place in history for its impact alone...but it just wasn't my kind of film. We were discussing that late 60s/early 70s period in Hollywood just this week in a class...and I came to the conclusion that as a whole I'm not a fan of that period of American film (with a few exceptions here and there). |

Moral of the story for me: if it seems unlikely that Deep Discount would have it they probably don't. Maybe it's more likely because these movies just went out of print, but if I were you I'd start shopping somewhere else. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I understand the importance of Easy Rider, and it was kinda pretty to see the scenery, but I was a bit bored, so I don't fault you for disliking it, as I'm also not much of a fan. Also, I think Peter's the weakest Fonda. He's got nothing on his daddy. |
