I do, but I'm not a big Danny Boyle fan, so I might forget that it's a pretty bad drug

What about The Man with the Golden Arm then? Or The Panic in Needle Park? Or Sid and Nancy?

I'm taking a Women's Studies course as an elective. The two courses go hand-in-hand because we talk about the same things practically but get different assignments. I'm one of five guys in the class and there's about 30 girls haha. My Sex and Gender class has a bunch of guys, surprisingly.
Nothing beats studying a broad in your college years.

Yeah, I think my collection has all the life lessons I need to absorb.... Wait up, what if I fall in love with someone before discovering all their "secrets" ala The Crying Game? I'm screwed (gulp).

Oh, I see. The only staying over didn't really interest me. I'd rather pay the gas money every week then the room and board. It's like $10,000 per semester or year (I'm not sure) at my college.

You could also look at censorship of the arts, and write about Ivan the Terrible, the film that is.

Another course I really enjoyed, which probably isn't offered where you go to school was my Cold War Canada course. We focused more on the rise of suburbia and the cultural aspects, rather than the political aspects of the era.

Tudor history's fun. It's much more interesting than that Philippa Gregory bullshit and the Tudors TV series. There's really no need to change and tart up Henry VIII's court, it was more than scandalous enough IRL.

Also, I enjoyed my intro Non-Western history classes too.

For English, I took the following interesting ones:
Tolkien, where we compared LOTR to Beowulf and the Volsung Sagas
Arthurian Legend
20th Century British culture and fiction
Those courses seem very interesting. For a liberal arts college, my college hardly offers anything exciting.

Everybody typically ends up doing Business or Psychology. Boring.

I've considered it, but I honestly don't know where I would go. Not to mention, the whole language thing if I go to another country.

Acadia's a small university. It has about 4000 students annually. They have very few Masters programs, as their focus is undergrad. Student population was double when I went, because Ontario had a double grad class. I started in 2003, the year Ontario did away with grade 13. It's usually ranked in the top 3 for the MacLean's rankings of universities.

Coincidentally, my ex-roomie was a business major.

I haven't seen that film but I take it you're a big fan and it's worthwhile.

I stayed in residence for the first two years, and then moved off campus for 3rd and 4th. Didn't live at home though, as the university was an hour and a half away from home. Lived off campus for my masters. Sadly, it was cheaper to go home on break for that degree. Dad works for an airline, and got discounts. 30 bucks return to fly from London, ON to Halifax, NS. Whereas commuting from Wolfville to Halifax was only an hour and a half, but gas was 1.50/litre at the time.

Default Two hard-boiled eggs

With all this talk about the great silent comedians like Chaplin, Keaton, Lloyd, etc - let's not forget someone that's on their level. Harpo Marx

If somehow Criterion could wrestle away A Night at the Opera from MGM...

Ooh, you also have Eating Raoul, which will help you
[Show spoiler]against tricking people into coming over for peverted activities, just so you can murder them to pay for your tuition, and then having to kill and cook your roommate, if you end up having one, who ends up blackmailing you to have sex with him
. Ok, slightly edited that one a bit.

During my last three years of college in the early 1990s, I lived in an off-campus apartment with three friends. My VHS collection provided endless entertainment for everyone. I did see my first Criterion titles during that time, though. The Vanishing, Brazil, and Dazed and Confused.

I went to Georgia Tech, and there was a showing of Brazil at the Architecture Building theater one night, so my first experience with that movie was seeing it on the big screen. Good times. I never bothered buying Brazil when it was released as a Criterion title years later, though.

Nice. Or Being John Malkovich, incase a smart mouthed brunette propositions me to have sex through somebody else's body. I won't be fooled.

I wonder how much more fun Salo plays when paired with Eating Raoul?
