Not in the list of films he had mentioned.
There's quite a few more common aspect ratios. As you mention, there's 2.20:1, which was the most typical aspect ratio for 4-perf 65mm. VistaVision was commonly presented in a ratio of 1.77:1 and IMAX, which uses 65mm, is commonly 1.43:1. Both VistaVision and IMAX run their film stock, 35mm and 65mm, through the camera horizontally instead of vertically, as is the case with most systems. It's worth looking up various cinematographic systems. You'd be amazed how many different types have been used over the last 100+ years. |

Stalker is more rewarding than Solaris (I still need to rewatch this film), in my opinion. The build up is the biggest difference between the two, so the ending in Stalker has more "value" than the ending in Solaris. I am glad I gave Tarkovsky's films a second chance (after reading his comment about Bresson and Bergman). |

Next week I begin saving for the Barnes and Noble July sale. I was wondering does it start mid-july or is it early or late july? Also is it just in store or is it also including online purchases?
This will be my first BnN sale since I started collecting spines so totally new to that sale. |

Is that an absolute confirmation? Well no, but it's close enough for me, and with that the DVD edition disappears from my Upcoming Sale Wishlist. Last edited by Cinemach; 04-30-2013 at 06:50 PM. |

(Ie., only those who've seen the movie can understand why the very first Hitler YouTube video was about Toshiba and HDDVD when they lost Warner, and the second was about Hillary Clinton after Super Tuesday...) Last edited by EricJ; 04-30-2013 at 07:00 PM. |

I am not familiar with it also, but it does have Veronica Lake in it, so it has potential...
