I thought about grabbing that Marilyn Monroe set, but I've already got an individual Blu-ray of my favorite movie of hers, River of No Return. I'll probably wait and find used copies of her movies over time.

By the way, that's a fine avatar choice. I haven't seen Nightbreed in forever, and am interested in hearing more about the Uncut version. I was a big Clive Barker fan when I was in high school, much to the chagrin of my parents, and Cabal, from which Nightbreed was adapted, was one of my favorite stories of his.
Thank you...I saw on the international thread about them signing up to screen a Cabal cut in Australia.....I so want to take a flight now....

It's a damn good deal if you can snag it for $20 like many have recently.

Favorite 3 are: All about Eve, The Asphalt Jungle and How to Marry a Millionaire.

I've considered it every time it's on sale, but I keep assuring myself the DVDs are good enough for me. Not like I'm going to rewatch these much..

We think alike.

As much as I love Billy Wilder, I don't like those couple of films with her.

I watch River of No Return on a frequent basis, but mostly because it's an outdoor adventure film with splendid mountain scenery in glorious Technicolor. The images of Marilyn Monroe dressed down and steering a raft through river rapids work for me more than the scenes in her other films for some reason. Some things just cannot be readily explained.

The Asphalt Jungle is an amazing film as well, though.

Band of Outsiders is mine. $27 at Barnes & Noble today after coupons. Glad to have my four essential Godard films all upgraded to Blu-ray now.

I'll probably buy The Enforcer on Blu-ray in the not-too-distant future, and I'm hoping for a Blu-ray release of Key Largo one day.
"Petrified Forest" will soon be released.

I own all of those and I just ordered The Enforcer.

The Caine Mutiny doesn't really sound too interesting to me otherwise I would pick that one up too.

I'll own The Caine Mutiny at some point. It's a great film, although not quite on the level of the above-mentioned Bogart offerings.

Years ago, back in the early 1990s, I was raving to my brother about how A Few Good Men, starring Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise, was one of the best movies that I had ever seen. My brother just laughed and told me to rent The Caine Mutiny. After I saw The Caine Mutiny, I pretty much forgot all about A Few Good Men.
