Earrings of Madame De is one of the greatest melodramas. Well worth seeing. To be or not to be and seconds are really fun aswell.

Damn good month. The Big City even comes with a second feature, The Coward, I'll have to see how they compare with the Artifical Eye releases. A shame the Fassbinder's are DVD only, the Arrow sets are quite a bit cheaper and include more films.

It looks like the newsletter clue a while back was in fact To Be Or Not To Be, and not Frances Ha as some people were speculating. Frances Ha could still be a possibility, I guess. I am pretty psyched about these titles.

Your turn now, you get a 2 minute rebuttal
Ray's films have been very highly requested over the years (admittedly most of those requests specified The Apu Trilogy). Ray is considered (and is) one of the truly great directors and was awarded an honorary Oscar during his lifetime. Criterion's release of The Music Room got a great reception across the board. Having seen Charulata and The Big City, I would rank them certainly in the top 10% of Criterions. They are not jokes. So, what, may I ask, is better and more highly requested?

Doesn't say either way but I'm going to assume this edition of Seconds will include the nude bits from the wine making scene.

Excited for the Max Ophuls' Earrings of Madame De. Blu Upgrade.

I think it is a good month.. Seconds upgraded to Criterion and a Blu release. I realyl am only being letdown by the lack of Upgrades to blu from Criterion. But I can't complain otherwise.

I'm thrilled we're getting more Fassbinder on Criterion, too bad it's DVD only.

All awesome movies, and quite possibly the future Criterion spines.

Since you keep avoiding the questions, you seem to have talked yourself into an embarrassing corner and obviously have no answers for us... so have fun with that. Oh and enjoy the "joke" Indian releases!

Couldn't care less how people judge me really...
And Im with the commenters who call this a month MEH, "Ill pass" and "weakest month ever"
