I also usually hit the sales hard so I've been using best buy rz certs and price matching to keep up with releases before then. I was about to order some May releases via bb so this sale hits at a good time for me to get a bit cheaper price and save my certs, but that's just me.

Vivre Sa Vie is a great film. While we're on the subject of "In Time", I really didn't like it. I thought it had a cool concept, but the execution was just stupid, in my opinion.

According to Gary at DVD beaver the Arrow version has a higher bitrate and is brighter than the Criterion. There are also supplements that are unique to the Arrow edition.

The only reason why I still have Blow Out in my collection is because of Murder a la Mod. I used to love Blow Out, but for some reason I simply can't enjoy it the way I used to. It's still a good film, just not great.

I can't get enough of Blow Out. It ranks alongside Femme Fatale as my favorite DePalma film. It's just such an dense film visually that I find something new to latch on to each and every time.

I agree with Tarantino, it's one of the great movies

Also hopes to see a Before Sunrise/Before Sunset/Before Midnight blu ray box set.

“I just had a thing from Criterion today that they’re gonna do a Blu-ray of Slacker, which isn’t kind of an obvious Blu-ray title but I’m glad they’re doing it. I think they’re just doing all their titles. It reminds me of when films were on VHS and they were retrospectively going back and doing DVDs, now we’re going back and doing Blu-rays of the titles. So I think they’ll get to all of them eventually. I’d like to see a triple box set, at some point, of all [Before] Blu-rays… And we’ve never really done a lot of extras and stuff, so we probably could do one up correctly.”

I would like to see Slacker upgraded on BluRay but, I'm not sure how much will be gained from HD, though.

I'm on this.

Slacker was not a Criterion DVD that I revisited often. I initially said that I would not bother upgrading it, but the film is just so integral to my college years in the early 1990s that I've lately realized that I would like it in my Blu-ray collection after all.

I just bought one of my favorite films, The Last Seduction, for $2.00 (DVD). I would be floored if Criterion announced a BluRay release.
