Is Playtime OOP or not? The CC web site lists it as OOP, but amazon is selling it for around $30. Someone posted earlier that it was no longer OOP.

Criterion isn't like a studio that can decide which of its properties it wants to reduce to midline price. All of these titles are licensed.

Well, I'm in for just "Richard III" for now. If the sale is still on come next Friday, the 15th, I'll get some more.

When I checked Criterion.com this morning, it wasn't OOP.

Don't listen to him. If you're a huge Christopher Nolan fan, then Following should suit you just fine. It'll be right up your alley.

I bought Pierre Etaix today at Barnes & Noble for 40% off plus for the first time ever I used the $8 coupon. The title was $59.95 before all discounts and sales I told the store manager. She first said no, but then I pointed out the second sentence and then she apologized and said "no, you're right". So I got this for around $26 with tax.

I felt like I could have waited until next month for the 50% sale and got this for about $4 less but I'm ok with this.

Has anyone else regretted buying Criterions during the 40% sale and not waiting until July?

uhm will there be a bigger sale next month? I've been grabbing a few through the day but I could definitely have waited a little longer. I thought this was it

Part of the allure of buying now is that ill be less swamped with quality titles in July. So I say buy some now.

Are you a fan of Bresson, Coop?

I guess a semi-fan. What appealed to me most was the unexpected rush of positive reaction I saw on here after the blu came out.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought, this is as if I'm buying titles online during a B&N sale..in fact, it's cheaper since there's no tax..so I might as well.

Is it a bad idea to blind-buy Life is Sweet?

So... I'm probably gonna pick up Seven Samurai and Ivan's Childhood (the latter will be a rare blind buy for me) from Best Buy. What do you guys think?

Do they carry them in your Best Buy? Most Best Buys barely stock any Criterion titles..

Well, I just did it (along with several others), so I'll know in a week or two. I did, however, read the Blu-ray.com review first, which pretty much sold me on it. My favorite Leigh film is TOPSY-TURVY but this sounded worth seeing, and for half-price, might as well just just own it.
